The indigenous peoples
\nHave always known
\nAnd respected the souls
\nThat they have sown<\/p>\n
In the earth
\nto enrich their soil
\nTo create new life
\nAnd enrich the oil<\/p>\n
Their toil accepted
\nTheir flesh devoured
\nTheir skins became
\nClothes that powered<\/p>\n
Their spirit to work
\nIn the densest frost
\nTo feed their families
\nAt whatever cost<\/p>\n
The indigenous people
\nHave always known
\nWhat those in their houses
\nWho sadly have grown<\/p>\n
Less close to the earth
\nIn their brick built sphere
\nUsurping the oil and the gas
\nIts clear<\/p>\n
Taking the animals
\nBaking them whole
\nNo ritual for each one
\nwith a soul<\/p>\n
Just pay the price
\nto the butcher who will
\nButcher another
\nmore blood they will spill<\/p>\n
There is no respect
\nAnd whatever is used
\nThe rest of the carcass
\nis often abused<\/p>\n
It become the waste
\nthat is thrown away
\nThe solstice animals
\nso to say<\/p>\n
Give up their lives
\non a whim of desire
\nAnd spawn more maggots
\nFrom their fire<\/p>\n
This historic battle
\nAnd due respect
\nHas run away
\nI do detect<\/p>\n
Its become a business
\nfor corporate gain
\nTo market the animals
\nand increase their pain<\/p>\n
To have no respect
\nwhatsoever and try
\nTo speed up the process
\nof life till they die<\/p>\n
Its now one of profit
\nand animals are
\nBred for the pot not a life
\nSo far<\/p>\n
Removed from
\nthe indigenous way
\nOf sharing and caring
\nso all of us pay<\/p>\n
And from all this cruelty
\n what we see
\nAre a band of angels
\n flying free<\/p>\n
The vegan tribes
\nwho forgo the treat
\nWho can live in their minds
\nwithout the meat<\/p>\n
Without the bodies
\nwithout the souls
\nIn a spiritual sense
\nin their controls<\/p>\n
A thought out destiny
\nbased on care
\nFor all the earthlings
\nthat dare to share<\/p>\n
A rich new life
\na sharing of soul
\nAnd a life force based
\non a loving goal<\/p>\n
