Imagine a Bear with no
\nteeth and no claws
\nclearly a soul who has
\nbeen through the wars
\ncaptured a while ago
\nimprisoned he
\nchained to a wall
\nand left there to be
\nhumiliated
\ndriven to feel
\ninadequate
\nclearly so hard to conceal
\nits bulk and the terror
\nit should now portray
\nbut without teeth or claws
\nit has little to say<\/p>\n
the chain cuts deep into
\nits neck and so there
\nits hung up now almost in
\nutter despair
\nand when its sick handlers
\nintroduce hounds
\nand they taunt the bear
\nWith their fierce growling sounds
\nThe Bear is aware of the
\ndangers he’s in
\nhe tries to escape being
\nbitten, the din
\nhe makes, sees the rent a crowd
\nlow life begin
\nto shout from the covers
\nhopeful they win
\na bear being bated
\noh! they are elated
\nto get their own back
\non a bear, may be so
\nBut this is a weary wild
\nsoul that was taken
\nfrom its habitat
\nwhere of course it did know
\nwith its claws and its teeth gone
\nand fed on poor food
\nit gets fat and forlorn
\nand very subdued
\nit doesn’t do exercise
\nor climb up trees
\nor chase any hunters
\nor chase down some Bees
\nit can’t even scratch
\ntethered tight to a wall
\nits out in all weathers
\nwhich has to appal
\nits heartless uncaring
\nand thoughtless that man
\ndoes this to animals
\nbecause he can
\nThe bear didn’t harm them
\nso why someone tell
\nis this poor starving creature
\nnot treated well?<\/p>\n
America yet another so called sport you allow
\nthose that think its manly to do this
\nrealize once and for all, you are despised for harming
