Machete’s out and cutting through
\nA mass of vegetation there
\nReally tangled and overgrown
\nLike serpents coils just everywhere <\/p>\n
Its really dense
\nBut you kind of sense
\nThe wildness that is here
\nA half an hour into the bush
\nAnd who is that sitting near<\/p>\n
A great big face
\nA massive nose
\nA bright red tongue
\nIt kind of throws
\nThe party off
\nFor this silverback
\nIs just there
\nAnd will it attack<\/p>\n
It stares
\nIts great eyes
\nBeaming out
\nAt the men who clearly
\nAre now in doubt
\nWhat should they do
\nShould they stay
\nOf turn around and run away<\/p>\n
They cannot run
\nThe jungle ties
\nThe creepers together
\nBefore their eyes
\nThese souls are there
\nWild people they
\nAs black as night

\nThey are clearly shocked

He senses their fear

\nHe hears their nervousness

\nThey are hopeful they
\nCan get some pictures
\nAnd run away<\/p>\n
His family is with him
\nDocile they be
\nCarrying on
\nJust normality
\nFor them
\nIn this wild place
\nEver so green
\nThey can feel their affection
\nAnd where they have been<\/p>\n
He moves much closer
\nHe wants to be
\nAlmost touching
\nHow can that be
\nThey are a group of simple men
\nAnd he is wild
\nWill someone say when<\/p>\n
To run or stay
\nWhat is the best
\nThey walk backwards
\nTrying now to jest
\nBut clearly nervous
\nClearly afraid
\nYou can sense his power
\nAnd how its laid<\/p>\n
They are marching backwards
\nAnd he moves too
\nCatching their boots
\nOn the tendrils
\nDo
\nThey turn around and run like hell
\nOr just move slowly
\nBut move well<\/p>\n
Again the gorilla
\nIs in their face
\nCompeting with them
\nAt their pace
\nAnd then he is gone
\nJust disappeared
\nThat big boy who they
\nHad feared
\nwas gone
\nJust greenery they could see
