Human rights a classic tale
\nOf resentment and disregard
\nOf an ugly disposition
\nAnd of migrants working hard
\nBrought over from the far East
\nWith a vision to provide
\nTheir service which reality
\nSurely is denied<\/p>\n
The supermarket orders
\nFulfilled and out of the way
\nLots of dirty secrets
\nOn the road to Mandalay
\nThe biggest farms and factories
\nPut out the labour hire
\nTo the black market labour firms
\nWhose conditions remain dire<\/p>\n
The gang masters the mini vans
\nThe long hours and the place
\nWhere many of these foreign slaves
\nAre housed in a disgrace
\nIn fact paid a pittance and made
\nTo work so hard
\nUnder the conditions of strictness
\nTheir minds and bodies scarred<\/p>\n
Some have valid visas
\nothers are alien stock
\nCondemned to possibly a crowded barn
\nWith a bloody great padlock<\/p>\n
Australia is guilty
\nBy allowing this regime
\nTo happen and not police it
\nTo allow this contractual stream<\/p>\n
To deepen in the society
\nThis illegality
\nTo become a giant problem
\nAnd one that shouldn’t be<\/p>\n
It smacks at a corporate power base
\nThey swoop on aliens who
\nAre brought over for their cheap labour
\nThat is what they do
\nEntitled to earn the minimum wage
\nBut denied that so that those
\nIllegal operations power base
\nClearly grows<\/p>\n
They are creaming off the salaries
\nWith the farmers in the know
\nIn fact lets says they are party to it
\nWhich is why it does grow<\/p>\n
The work is hard and laborious
\nAnd the migrants do work well
\nThe profit margins are very high
\nSo to create this brand of Hell<\/p>\n
Is against the rules of human life
\nIts corruption through and through
\nExploitation of the poor
\nOf course that isn’t new<\/p>\n
But clearly it is growing
\nAnd the police must know this fact
\nThe government have encouraged it
\nAnd they all should now react<\/p>\n
By hitting those labour hire contractors
\nShut them down for good
\nThe farms should pay a living wage
\nTo anyone thats good<\/p>\n
And by passing on the buck
\nAs many seem to do
\nThey are part of the problem
