An Orca they called “nami”
\nWhich actually means wave
\nShe lived alone for seven years
\nWho nobody thought to save<\/p>\n
Driven from the ocean
\nHer spirit they did kill
\nTaiji is a wicked place
\nWhere sea breezes do chill<\/p>\n
They have made a natural habitat
\nA reserve there so they say
\nBut in fact it is a killing cove
\nSo those lies I must allay<\/p>\n
Its all barbed wire and evil
\nA dark and wicked place
\nWhere cetaceans are imprisoned
\nAnd treated without grace<\/p>\n
Its where culture and compassion
\nFight it out, where we
\nSee the glorious Pacific
\nDrenched in secrecy<\/p>\n
Tarpaulins stretch across
\nTo hide the murdering phase
\nIts when the dolphins are driven
\nIts when pithing and torture plays<\/p>\n
A part in all this evil
\nAnd NAMI as we know
\nPerished in the town
\nBecause Her agony did grow<\/p>\n
The Ocean was her natural home
\nBut the Japanese deceive
\nThe world at large with their camouflage
\nSaying they did achieve<\/p>\n
The training and the science
\nResearch the keywords they
\nUse as well in whaling
\nWhich is killing anyway<\/p>\n
NAMI was sad and so depressed
\nA prisoner in fear
\nShe knew nobody loved her
\nFor me that was so clear<\/p>\n
Her routine was to eat rocks
\nAnd when she died eventually
\nShe had 180 pounds of rocks inside
\nHer actually<\/p>\n
491 of them in her stomach
\nNow you see
\nThats really how she killed herself
\nHow else could she be<\/p>\n
Trying to tell us how much pain
\nShe was going through
\nWith ulcers in her stomach
\nAnd Her poor spleen bleeding too<\/p>\n
She had inflamed intestines
\nWhat Taiji had done
\nWas neglect a precious ocean soul
\nA female on the run<\/p>\n
Her life though going no where
\nWhen pneumonia set in
\nThis story is so tragic
\nIt really is a sin<\/p>\n
And we all looked on
\nOur hands tied
\nNo nothing we could do
\nWe protest at the embassy
\nBut most don’t have a clue<\/p>\n
What the Japanese are doing
\nHow they torture as they do
\nThis poor soul just a victim
\nSoon forgotten perhaps by YOU<\/p>\n
But every soul that Perishes
\nIs loved by someone they
\nHave family in the ocean
\nWho mourn for them each day<\/p>\n
Its an ugly scene so woeful
\nWhat these dolphin drives now do
\nTo the ocean to the family
\nAnd to folk like me and you<\/p>\n
All I can do is protest
\nAnd commit them all to rhyme
\nI cannot go out to Japan
\nAnd sink their boats
\nThis time<\/p>\n
i cannot fight the fishermen
\nMy ninja tendency
\nIs lost now in my youth alas
\nBut they will not stop me<\/p>\n
Protesting in Piccadily
\nOn Face book and twitter where
\nAt least communication
\nHelps other souls to share<\/p>\n
Anonymous and others
\nWho have the where for all
\nTo give these shits a kicking
\nBefore more have to fall<\/p>\n
To the Taiji rotters
\nTo the aqua parks abroad
\nThe likes of Sea World
\nWhose coffers are bursting
\nWhere they have hurled<\/p>\n
Many innocent dolphins
\nMade them into circus clowns
\nFor the sicko human audiences
\nFrom many different towns<\/p>\n
Who converge on all these
\nAqua parks
\nimagining they will see
\nWonders really miracles
\nWhen really honestly<\/p>\n
They are providing corporates
\nWith such enormous wealth
\nWhilst the victims thats the cetaceans
\nAre just losing their health<\/p>\n
Kept in tanks of concrete
\nFed on dead fish they
\nHave nothing of the ocean
\nOr the families social sway<\/p>\n
Everything is lost for them
\nSo the corporate can make
\nA fortune and the shareholders
\nAnd from the victims they just take<\/p>\n
Their lives their social contact
\nTheir instinctive way of life
\nAnd turn it into melancholia
\nAnd of course abject strife<\/p>\n
Orca’s dolphins porpoises
\nLost souls let me say
\nAnd many of them end up
\nIn the cove at Taiji Bay<\/p>\n
Or in some arab hotel
\nSold for a load of bucks
\nBy these fisherman of Taiji
