Why are farmers so damned ignorant
\nIt must be that they drink
\nCows milk its no other reason
\nNod nod wink wink wink
\nThey see a calf is nursing
\nAnd the mother is just there
\nAnd they need some real nutrition
\nAnd they want to share<\/p>\n
Thats the way of nature
\nBut not the way today
\nBecause humans are more cow like
\nAnd of course they pay
\nBuying 4 pints at the super store
\nAnd the calf must thus be made
\nTo leave the mother well alone
\nBecause its not good trade<\/p>\n
And so they buy a weaning plate
\nWith nodules and with spikes
\nAnd when the hungry calf wants milk
\nIts not what mother likes
\nTo have the plate a scratching at her udders
\nHow unfair
\nTo even think of denying the calf
\nThe milk she wants to share<\/p>\n
The farmer hopes the plate does not
\nHurt the udder
\nHe has no care for the calf alas
\nHow sad can one be
\nThe weaning plate he refers
\nTo as a fun thing on the farm
\nIs fun in fact to deny a baby
\nIts mothers milk and harm<\/p>\n
The mother with these torture plates
\nFor that is what they are
\nTorturing the mother
\nAnd her baby
\nWhat a star!<\/p>\n
This farmer is, and the others
\nWhat a lousy sod
\nTo go and buy a torture plate
\nCall HATHOR tell her what you have done
\nAnd really hope to god<\/p>\n
She doesn’t take it out on you
\nFor this is evil stuff
\nOf The dairy please be wary
\nFor I have seen enough<\/p>\n
The calf will get his marching orders
\nThe slaughterhouse is where
\nHe must go for you want his milk
\nAnd he feels the despair
\nCarted like a sack of bricks
\nOff to the abattoir
\nThroat slit goodbye baby
\nDont tell me where you are<\/p>\n
Because I love my dairy ice
\nMy dairy chocolate too
\ni love my fine greek yoghurt
\nAll made of milk for you
\ni love my cheese and biscuits
\nI love the cream with tea
\nAs for you dear little calf
\nWhen you die just think of me<\/p>\n
