\nBehind the mantle, they
\nTorture Baby elephants
\nMake those infants pay
\nTheir spirit it is broken
\nUse of the mean “phajaan”
\nA tight, cage like structure
\nThe “KUYS” indigenous fun<\/p>\n
Torture of the lowest kind
\nBaby elephants, who
\nAre taken from wild mothers
\nIts intolerable what they do
\nIn the name of tourism
\nWhere tourists pay to see
\nAnd what goes on behind their backs
\nIs only infamy<\/p>\n
Its the ugly face that hides behind
\nThe money making schemes
\nRoped in this small structure
\nIt becomes the worst of dreams
\nThose animals how they suffer
\nPulling their legs like mad
\nStabbing them stabbing their ears
\nAnd beating them, its
\nSo sad<\/p>\n
So very sad to see this
\nThey do not understand
\nThey haven’t done anything to deserve
\nThis torture that was planned
\nTo really break their spirit
\nTo cut them down to size
\nIts pathetic and its pitiable
\nWhy don’t we realise<\/p>\n
The terror that these babies feel
\nAs many men there do
\nThe torture stabbing tender ears
\nTurning their heads blue
\nWith bruising and with bleeding
\nThe soreness must be bad
\nHere them trumpeting such lamentation
\nWailing for their dad<\/p>\n
Its irksome and its tedious
\nDisgusting all who see
\nIts nauseating behaviour
\nIts not how it should be
\nThese are tiny babies innocent
\nWe can see
\nWe can feel their total innocence
\nIts just rotten that we<\/p>\n
Stand up and give our tourist money
\nAnd so prolong their pain
\nIts repulsive what we do to them
\nIts graceless the refrain
\nOf elephants screaming skywards
\nRocking the ground so hard
\nPounding their little roped up feet
\nThat become cut up and scarred<\/p>\n
A sadistic bunch of cretins
\nMahouts they often say
\nThey look after their elephants
\nIts an extraordinary way
\nOf looking after babies
\nIt torture and its pain
\nIts agony and hopelessness
\nAnd pure cowardice once again<\/p>\n
A parade of all these tortured souls
\nIn Surin every year
\nIts called a cultural festival
\nAnd they are dragged in on
\nFear
\nThrough the streets to suffer
\nThe vagaries of sin
\nPunching butting as they are strutting
\nWith wounds and all that din<\/p>\n
Thailand really is a cruel and nasty place to be
\nWhat they do to their animals
\nIs woeful actually
\nIts evil dark and ugly
\nIn really the worst of ways
\nPulling their tails and hammering their heads
\nJust trying to raise<\/p>\n
Their emotion and their spirit
\nTo break them make them throw
\nTheirselves into the human ways
\nAnd the tourists do not know
\nThey pay their various currencies
\nAnd support the violence they
\nTorture strain and carry on doing it
\nEvery bloody day<\/p>\n
Lead into the stadium
\nThey can hardly walk
\nSuffering like crazy
\nAs all the people talk
\nDressed up in regalia
\nOn their painful feet
\nTheir wounds are covered
\nFrom the public eye
\nAnd they look beat<\/p>\n
Anyone with any sense
\nAnd heart must feel
\nThese elephants crying every step
\nThis agony is real
\nHow can this be cultural
\nIts low life low routine
\nIts egregious torture
