So many do gooders
\nThis lot in Mexico
\nBuying big cat orphans
\nFrom circuses who
\nMay have ill treated them
\nGoing to markets
\nSaving the animals
\nLost in the zoo<\/p>\n
This starts off lovely
\nThen we find later
\nHoarding is apparent
\nEnclosures become
\nUnnaturally full up
\nWith dozens of animals
\nSo far from natural
\nIt does leave me numb<\/p>\n
Its called their sanctuary
\nThey saved these animals
\nBrought some into their homes
\nNow Where they play
\nPetted by stars who come to visit
\nMexico City but the animals pay<\/p>\n
Where do they go from here
\nWhy is this kindly
\nHow is this natural
\nWhat do they do
\nAll these souls grow u
\nwild and in the moment
\nThey will get fierce
\nThat is my view<\/p>\n
So where are the one hundred
\nAcres of land use
\nAnd all of these big cats where will they go
\nThe way they are treated played with like pet toys
\nChanging their feelings we ought to know<\/p>\n
Everyone placed here is lost yes forever
\nNo true interaction not any more
\nJust a fancy zoo where they are crowded together
\nWhat of their instincts what will they do<\/p>\n
I cant see a future for these cats I am sorry
\ni don’t believe this is an ethical stance
\nMaybe we rescue them out of the frying pan
\nInto the fire we give them that chance<\/p>\n
Humans are frightful they humanise animals
\nImagining that animals all want to be
\nPicked up and handled and cuddled and spoken to
