Zoo’s have got to realise
\nTheir true responsibility
\nImporting the wild animals
\nAnd keeping them in captivity<\/p>\n
You have to be minded
\nOf the animals basic need
\nWhen exchanging contracts
\nFor both to then succeed<\/p>\n
Keeping really thoughtfully
\nAnd provide some real good care
\nDon’t bring them to where your zoo is
\nJust to face,more despair<\/p>\n
No exercise
\nNo bathing
\nNo forest where they can go
\nNo fresh vegetation
\nNo foraging
\nTheir flow<\/p>\n
Completely lost forever
\nThe temperature not the same
\nNo company of others
\nLife is not a game
\nIts their lives that we gamble with
\nSo zoo’s can make some dough
\nThe margin and the profit
\nIts Based on them you know<\/p>\n
Not lose the light of living
\nNot walking miles per day
\nNot standing still in one fixed place
\nThat is where they pay
\nWith aching feet and emotion
\nAnd psychological woe
\nThey are heavy animals
\nNot statues left on show<\/p>\n
If you cannot care for them
\nDo not make them sick
\nTrain your men to love them
\nThey cannot be that thick
\nShow them how to feel for the elephants
\nHow to bathe and care
\nAnd let them walk about a bit
\nFor goodness sake be fair<\/p>\n
And walking doesn’t include rides
\nFat arse tourists no
\nLet them forage for some leaves
\nLet them try to grow
\nEmotionally much stronger
\nAnd transfer them and be
\nThe first to say that you agree
\nTo a brand new sanctuary<\/p>\n
A barren yard with painful feet
\nIs neglect if you ask me
\nYou are torturing these animals
\nThats not the way to be
\nLook at them swaying back and forth
\nThey are depressed and sad and they
\nUse this repetitive behaviour
\nSo you know its not the way<\/p>\n
They are actually telling you
\nWhat you do is wrong
\nTruthfully your are torturing them
\nThey clearly don’t belong
\nStressed out by that standing
\nAnd Kansas is far too cold
\nSo then you do not allow them out
\nOn elephants you are sold<\/p>\n
But you cannot look after them
\nIts arrogance with you
\nInactivity is causing them
\nStress and strain its true
\nTheir feet are Bloody killing them
\nThe news is very bad
\nLet them go to a sanctuary
\nBefore they both go mad<\/p>\n
