{"id":24350,"date":"2015-11-04T22:44:44","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T22:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=24350"},"modified":"2015-11-05T05:45:28","modified_gmt":"2015-11-05T05:45:28","slug":"art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/11\/art\/","title":{"rendered":"Art and the animals who apparently make it all possible"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Realness and actuality<br \/>\nThe canvas can it be<br \/>\nUsed to create a picture<br \/>\nPossibly of thee<br \/>\nAnd how might that be possible<br \/>\nWith what brush will you use<br \/>\nA sable or a mongoose<br \/>\nOr a badger lets abuse<\/p>\n<p>A hog, we seem to feel the need<br \/>\nTo slaughter as we go<br \/>\nFor any kind of reason<br \/>\nTo help improve the flow<br \/>\nSchool grade water colour<br \/>\nSaw the mongoose flayed alive<br \/>\nTrapped in some contraption<br \/>\nUnable to survive<\/p>\n<p>Or simply shot thats how its done<br \/>\nMurdered in cold blood<br \/>\nA rootless kind of bounty<br \/>\nStolen from the mud<br \/>\nIts truly soft I have been told<br \/>\nAbsorbing colour well<br \/>\nIt was always very special<br \/>\nProtecting organs shall<br \/>\nWe think, about the animal<br \/>\nNeeding its strong hair<br \/>\nAnd being sad to give it up<br \/>\nFor sure it wasn&#8217;t fair<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of them were murdered<br \/>\nOut in India I hear<br \/>\nTheir greatness at snake killing<br \/>\nWas something most held dear<br \/>\nBut their hair found that new premium<br \/>\nAnd the artists do insist<br \/>\nOn having at least one mongoose<br \/>\nOn their studio list<\/p>\n<p>Their pictures they are blood stained<br \/>\nTortured racked and sick<br \/>\nHow can we create a sight<br \/>\nWith death wrapped on a stick<br \/>\nTo me charcoal and chalk are simple<br \/>\nInstruments which can<br \/>\nCreate an air of naturalness<br \/>\nAnd thus a better plan<\/p>\n<p>To me the use of animals hair<br \/>\nIs ludicrous and sad<br \/>\nArtists should be sensitive<br \/>\nTo surroundings and its bad<br \/>\nWhen they insist on animals dying<br \/>\nJust so they can paint<br \/>\nEthic and a true sense of feeling<br \/>\nNo they bloody ain&#8217;t<\/p>\n<p>Got it sadly I don&#8217;t think so<br \/>\nWhat they really need<br \/>\nIs a kicking let them feel a bruised arse<br \/>\nFor when they succeed<br \/>\nLet them share the contraption<br \/>\nMetered out to our friend<br \/>\nHiding in the leaves somewhere<br \/>\nSoon to be its end<\/p>\n<p>For there as it goes wandering<br \/>\nThe trap catches its feet<br \/>\nAnd it will lie there bleeding<br \/>\nAnd that is just no treat<br \/>\nIf a painter cannot create<br \/>\nA vision without the aid of death<br \/>\nThen that painter is no painter<br \/>\nThose really have their breath<\/p>\n<p>Their lips their eyes and ears<br \/>\nAnd hands thats really all they need<br \/>\nAnd now a simple tool to paint<br \/>\nSimple they concede<br \/>\nFor its with the eyes and senses<br \/>\nAnd the hands that one can feel<br \/>\nCan mould this in their psyche<br \/>\nKnow that its for real<\/p>\n<p>Soften and create a sky<br \/>\nas magnificent as today<br \/>\nAnd pick out all the details<br \/>\nAs you went on your way<br \/>\nKolkata boosts a failing trade<br \/>\nIn mongoose brushes they<br \/>\nHave myriad image time shell shaped<br \/>\nArches all the way<br \/>\nInto the emotions imagine such a beast<br \/>\nCatching snakes if what it takes<br \/>\nSomehow it doesn&#8217;t play<\/p>\n<p>The same hair used for brushes<br \/>\nTo create a tonal scene<br \/>\nPerhaps a cantankerous soldier<br \/>\nLooking more than mean<br \/>\nOr perhaps a wondrous seascape<br \/>\nWith the softness of the sail<br \/>\nThe plunging lunging waves of green<br \/>\nThat form the glowing trail<\/p>\n<p>If you know someone who is painting<br \/>\nTell them to beware<br \/>\nNot be sold these animal&#8217;s brushes<br \/>\nThat if they really care<br \/>\nImagine a bloody palette<br \/>\nOr your paper or your paint<br \/>\nFor the synthetic transition<br \/>\nFor death won&#8217;t make you a saint<\/p>\n<p>Those buying your art work<br \/>\nPossibly don&#8217;t know<br \/>\nOr care about the medium<br \/>\nHow it all did flow<br \/>\nBut for those who understand this<br \/>\nHow the mongoose came to die<br \/>\nAnd only for the reason<br \/>\nThat the artist lives a lie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Realness and actuality The canvas can it be Used to create a picture Possibly of thee And how might that be possible With what brush will you use A sable or a mongoose Or a badger lets abuse A hog, &hellip;
