In subterranean channels and tunnels
\nI believe
\nA colony of magnificent moles work hard
\nTo achieve
\nWhat we might think impossible
\nTo shore up all the stones
\nKeep them from toppling over
\nKind of organic bones<\/p>\n
All those many centuries
\nAgo a witch came by
\nShe had a word with a certain King
\nAnd his soldiers standing by
\nBelow the ground were magnificent moles
\nWho merged into the mold
\nBut Lived deep down where the oxygen
\nWas reduced as was the cold<\/p>\n
Molly mole and polly mole
\nNow live at No. 1
\nIts a subterranean pent house
\nWith earthworms on tap
\nSo fun
\nAt no 2 sweet marion mole
\nShe can’t See very much
\nBut shes the touchy feely sort
\nSo she always stays in Touch
\nAt no 3 old Michael mole
\nAnd his wife miriam they
\nBoth are excellent swimmers
\nOr so the life guards say<\/p>\n
Then there is a community
\nOf 50 moles who stay
\nBuilding tunnels for their houses
\nEvery flipping day
\nSelling earthworm larders
\nAnd harvesting them as well
\nSkinned or whole or by the pound
\nThey really do sell<\/p>\n
These roll right moles
\nLove where they live
\nFor the tory trolls oft come
\nGet tanked up on vermouth
\nAnd boy you must drink some
\nTo flatten you completely
\nTo have you on your back<\/p>\n
Its just a simple poem
\nNo tears I hear today
\nBut they have a vast metropolis
\nDown here or so some say
\nGrandfather worms and garden worms
\nThats mostly what they eat
\nStretching out in their loam of earth
