Prisoners, we create so many
\nFrom animals who once were wild
\nThe elephants chained to a wall
\nFully grown but as a child
\nLooking sad and so frustrated
\nBeaten when it suits until
\nOnce they were happy in their jungle
\nNow they pray for their last pill<\/p>\n
A pill thats sends them to the death camps
\nFar away from all this pain
\nThe animals are far From joyous
\nAnd they never will come back again<\/p>\n
Behind our bars they know they are captive
\nTheir freedom stolen long ago
\nSplit up from their precious families
\nThe great apes mirror all we know
\nNo trees to climb just laboratories
\nWhere surgeons work to delve and see
\nWhat affects do the chemical have
\nDo they burn how can they be<\/p>\n
When they scream and scream they do
\nNobody cares no not a jolt
\nThis is what life is
\nTo be an animal
\nIn the human world,their result<\/p>\n
Animals we are experiments
\nCircus performers prisoners too
\nA natural life is not our calling
\nThat is not what we should do<\/p>\n
To live here we must work the journey
\nStrive to thrive in agony
\nHours of passage for live exports
\nReally does it have to be
\nJust that awful
\nAnd the slaughterhouses now
\nHave no respect for our intention
\nWhy would we want to be a cow<\/p>\n
A bull in Spain another torture
\nBred to kill within the ring
\nTortured daily before it happens
\nAnd To Always be the underling
\nStabbed and poked destroyed in moments
\nFighting back an option we
\nWill nit get unless we are lucky
\nAnd only then temporarily<\/p>\n
To see that dressed up man of colours
\nLying prostrate in
\nthe dust
\nGives the dying bull an exit
\nOne last diabolical thrust<\/p>\n
Prisoners they create so many
\nAnimals who once were wild
\nUntil their habitats were stolen
\nAnd their families were defiled
\nThe majestic Orca’s thrown in tanks
\nSwimming daily in their blood
\nChoking on each others passion
\nDrowning in each others flood<\/p>\n
And then of course the elegant dolphin
\nFinds herself out in Taiji
\nIn a chaos of true thunder
\nWhere their pipes should never be
\nDriven hard like wolves a running
\nTrapped and beaten hour on hour
\nThe Japanese those vilest monsters
\nSo exert their awful power<\/p>\n
The sea runs red with blood and sinew
\nMore screams more pain its everywhere
\nIn this world of cruelty
\nOf trepidation and despair
\nFeeling sad and so frustrated
\nBeaten when its suits until
\nOnce so happy in the ocean
\nNow we pray for our last pill<\/p>\n
Pith us fast we beg you do it
\nLet our sad eyes close and soon
\nWhere our gods were they have left us
\nIn a world beyond the moon
\nHow we cry of this indulgence
\nHow we cry to see our worth
\nAnimals are purely slaves
