To race dogs and to gamble
\non them winning
\nis highly dangerous
\nand a frustrating affair
\nits easy getting
\nembroiled in all this
\nmayhem
\nbut one has to be
\non track and so aware<\/p>\n
They chase a bit of cloth
\nin the arena
\nthat carries the scent
\nand encourages them to run
\nMany though are not given
\ngood diets and some
\ndo not respond, even a gun<\/p>\n
does not allow the beasts
\nto run like crazy
\ntheir legs are sore
\ntheir poor backs ache
\nlike hell
\nto race and be a winner
\nyou need a nice big dinner
\notherwise you will not
\nprogress well<\/p>\n
Every year there’s hounds
\nup for adoption
\nthey are not coming up to scratch
\nand they
\nthe owners want to see the back
\nof most of them
\nput to sleep
\nor gassed
\nthat’s how they pay
\nthe hospital will buy
\ntheir sad cadavers
\nexperimenting on them
\nin the lab
\ntrainers out of pocket
\nhave the urge to cut their losses
\nthat’s why the poor things
\nend up on some slab.<\/p>\n
when the cry is heard
\nLet’s ban these dogs
\nfrom racing
\nshut up in their cages
\nnight and day
\noften fed disgusting
\nfood
\nand shipped off here and there
\nhighly strung
\nand undergoing remnants of despair
\nquestions will be asked
\nwhat will become of them
\nthe thousand or so dogs
\nnow running scared
\nand all the people
\nin the sad arena’s
\nand the trainers
\nthe no brainers
\narn’t prepared<\/p>\n
But then again
\nthe tracks are few and far between
\nthe punters don’t come
\nlike they did before
\nits gambling on the periphery
\nand whilst there will be victims
\nthe victims are the
\ndogs of that I’m sure<\/p>\n
Today 24 dogs shipped from Ireland
\nEnded up near Manchester we hear
\nBeing shipped lufthansa But it could be
\nGlasgow too or so it would appear
\nIn a white van with no ventilation
\nA removal company oh dear
\nWhat the hell is going on
\nIt won’t be long before they are gone
\nThey must by by now in all sorts of fear<\/p>\n
People now all over are on the look out
\nThere are aircraft leaving everyday
\nThis is a rotten business selling dogs to China
