This planet is in a parlous state
\nBoth the natural world and ours
\nDestruction of the forests
\nOur arrogance now towers
\nFar above just about everything
\nHumanity can bow
\nDown towards the horizon
\nAsking themselves how<\/p>\n
They ever got this far away
\nFrom sensibility
\nHow they became so dominant
\nOn the pretext they were free
\nTo just do anything they thought
\nWould pull them in some dough
\nThe unsavouriness of all of that
\nAll part of the show<\/p>\n
Urbanisation covers so much of the green land
\nThe source of life was flattened
\nNo one could understand
\nThe indisputable progress
\nThe flattening of trees
\nOur natural roots we tore up
\nAnd did away with the bee’s<\/p>\n
We poisoned every plant and flower
\nAnd introduced instead
\nVast fields of the gm crops
\nAnd they were all but dead
\nMonsatan were the monsters the corporates
\nWho tried
\nTo beat the little farmers till
\nThey sunk down and they cried<\/p>\n
Till there was only silence
\nTill every bird had flown
\nEvery insect shot away
\nAnd with the wild wind blown
\nScience it was kidnapped
\nBy the corporate clan of crooks
\nWho stole from everybody
