My dad is a hunter
\nRifles pistols, he
\nGets the finest ammo
\nAnd likes to take me
\nI am only eleven years old
\nA boy thats who I be
\nI hate the fact that animals die
\nWhen in fact they were free<\/p>\n
To live out in the countryside
\nIn all weathers they be
\nAnd my dad and his hunting pals
\nKill them in front of me
\nA big red deer is so beautiful
\nIts colours startle,my
\nEyes
\nIt seems so peaceful
\nBang!
\nYes its its demise<\/p>\n
Kicking in the underbrush
\nIts eyes still open wide
\nWhat can it see
\nCan it see me
\nI try to confide
\nWhy does my father do this
\nWhat is the reason he
\nGets dolled up in camouflage
\nAnd hides behind a tree<\/p>\n
Using his long rifle
\nHe fires
\nAnd that soul dies
\nFor me a young boy growing up
\nMy heart aches
\nThe lies
\nDad tells me
\nConservation really how can that be?
\nThese glorious animals part of Nature
\ni just want to see<\/p>\n
Them every time I come here
\nNot kicking in the grass
\nNot dying really on my watch
\nI feel the biggest arse
\nFor not appealing to my mum
\nSaying I don’t want to go
\nI don’t agree with killing
\nI do not want to know
\nDespite dads inclination
