The deep sea has many secrets
\nAnd one I came upon
\nWas the friendship that had flourished
\nIt had never even gone
\nAway once it was formulated
\nBoth realised its power
\nThe dolphin and the mermaid
\nTogether hour upon hour<\/p>\n
She came from the coral castle
\nAll those rock flowers so in bloom
\nAnd I was a simple plain old dolphin
\nSwimming in the gloom
\nHer light was all around her
\nHer hair her sable locks
\nHer smile was so sensational
\nPeering from the rocks<\/p>\n
Her tail was olive colour
\nIridescent to my eyes
\nHer heart I could hear it beating
\nAnd she was awfully wise
\nShe knew where Neptune hung out
\nAnd where Delphin swam
\nShe was a magical being
\nAnd told me that I am<\/p>\n
But I am just a plain old dolphin
\nNothing special here
\nI only glow when she is around
\nAnd when she does appear
\nI like to swim around with her
\nAnd even surface too
\nAnd bathe within the suns warm gaze
\nLike other couples do<\/p>\n
It was her tHat made me confident
\nAnd taught me to be me
\nShe really is my inspiration
\nAnd happier I be
\nWhen I meet up with myrtle
\nThe mermaid and she knows
\nThat swimming with her in the blue
