To have plumbed the depths of cruelty
\nThis doleful wretched soul
\nIn a deep set adversity
\nSuch discomfort and a role
\nLeading through such agony
\nWith fractures and with sores
\nA case of wilful sad neglect
\nFrom her head down to her paws<\/p>\n
Clearly feeling terrible
\nAnd looking sickly too
\nDesolation and hopelessness
\nClearly poking through
\nAlso broken hearted
\nHer legs are very bad
\nPeppered she with gun shot wounds
\nAnd of course feeling sad<\/p>\n
Victor larkhill what a man
\nWhat an angel he
\nLost his own dog some years ago
\nAnd thought that he would be
\nWanting to traverse the globe
\nSaving dogs and he
\nHas done no expense is spared
\nAs with sweet Amy<\/p>\n
Lots of serious surgery
\nTwo gaping holes to be
\nRepaired the bones to be replaced
\nSuch a tragedy
\nClearly not fed properly
\nHer ribs protuding so
\nLacking love and kindness
\nAs her soulful eyes did show<\/p>\n
A super bug got hold of her
\nAnd only a toxic dose
\nOf one particular anti biotic
\nIt was touch and go and close
\nBut she was in a good place
\nExtreme rescue on hand
\nAngels all around her
\nThose who did understand<\/p>\n
Amy is not out of the woods
\nBut she’s sparked up quite a bit
\nShe clearly has gone through the hoops
\nAnd still is not that fit
\nBut she’s fighting like a trooper
\nAnd giving it her best
\nAnd with Victor Larkhill on her case
\nShe is up for every test<\/p>\n
How can this really happen
\nWhy do people do
\nWhat happened to Amy
\nIt had broken through
\nAll her true defences
\nHer heartfelt way to go
\nBut she was saved by angels
