\nJust so zoos and other places can
\nMake some extra money from expecting
\nThe elephants to carry the human
\nOn trips around the countryside
\nWe have to see
\nIt really isn’t the right thing now to do
\nThomas Cook is being asked to sign up too a pledge
\nMaybe they are deciding if its true<\/p>\n
\nTo drop the elephant stuff as quick as some
\nClearly there is money with this business
\nAnd tourists themselves many still are numb
\nTo how much cruelty there is in the industry
\nPerhaps we have to emphasise this too
\nGet the people’s total realisation
\nThat Elephants can’t be subjected as we do<\/p>\n
\nSeparating the children from their mothers
\nAnd giving them heavy training so as to
\nBreak their spirit damage them forever
\nWhich is what they really have to do
\nElephants don’t see their role as vehicles
\nThey were never mean’t to walk on tarmac roads
\nElephants feet are not made for so doing
\nThey carry their own weight and that is loads<\/p>\n
\nWhere there is cruelty we ourselves must know
\nAnd not subscribe to this profiteering at the animals expense
\nThey really shouldn’t be part of the show
\nThey are wild the biggest of land animals
\nGive them due respect for who they are
\nNot bull hook them into participation
\nIts wrong on all counts for what we do is scar<\/p>\n
\nDisturb their family life and general health
\nElephants are not made to be our slaves not any more
\nAs un paid workers adding to our wealth
\nWild is wild and they should be respected
\nNot worked to death and tortured constantly
\nThomas Cook can I appeal to you on behalf of the wild ones
\nLook inside your heart and it will be<\/p>\n
\nDegrading ourselves for the money trail
\nElephants are primarily wild animals
\nAnd taking them for a ride is where we fail
\nThey are we know amazingly good natured
\nThey take our discipline but not easily
\nMan is far from kind at making money
\nAnd as we evolve we really ought to see<\/p>\n
