Land of fire and ice
\nWhere geyser fountains pour
\nBoiling springs, hot water falls
\nHot mud and so much more<\/p>\n
Dead sulphurous lakes
\nCanyons and ravines
\nSo much thermal energy
\nA tourist walk way through it all
\nDevoid of all machines<\/p>\n
Perhaps the greatest Nature Reserve
\nThe world has ever seen
\nRivers packed with shoals of fish
\nAre a truly wondrous scene<\/p>\n
And all of this from opal rocks
\nAnd mists up to the sky
\nAnd no one luring bears out of this place
\nSo they can die<\/p>\n
Nobody ever hunts here
\nThough there are many bears
\nMany families of brown bears live here
\nAnd so it compares<\/p>\n
Favourably with anywhere
\nThere is never hunting here
\nThey come with their cameras
\nAnd the bears don’t live in fear<\/p>\n
Of anyone, the habitat is as wild as it can be
\nThey have no fear of mankind
\nIts where you come to see
\nBears in their wild wilderness
\nDoing what bears do
\nLiving raising their families
\nFor them Nature is true<\/p>\n
Catching fish and biting trees
\nForaging for all
\nKamchatka Bears are smart and strong
\nAnd very very tall<\/p>\n
They live by a routine they do
\nNothings left to chance
\nThey are into grass and berries
\nAnd On their hind legs they will dance<\/p>\n
Box a while and wade into the water
\nSensing fish
\nTheir eyesight isn’t all that hot
\nBut they soon can fill a dish<\/p>\n
They really are intelligent
\nThey walk near to the pools
\nBut never ever burn themselves
\nThey are anything but fools<\/p>\n
The bears are very clever and learn things
\nVery fast
\nSo quick they are at catching fish
\nTheir life is one big blast<\/p>\n
They hibernate for half the year
\nBut the other half they are
\nRoaming in the gloaming
\nAnd tend to be the star<\/p>\n
Under the ground is hottest
\nThats why the walkways take
\nTourists through these perils
\nIts all for their own sake<\/p>\n
Its easy to fall through the earth
\nInto a toxic pond
\nOnly the bears know where to walk
\nThey have their magic wand<\/p>\n
And even the rangers use them
\nFor they are safe and can
\nBe used to walk around these pools
\nDespite the weight of man<\/p>\n
Lots of thermal fluids
\nAnd heat too where some can
\nSwim in Ban Ya Lake its nice and warm
\nAnd thats the plan<\/p>\n
For many of the operators
\nWho live and research there
\nThey use this hot mud bubbling
\nAnd they just love to share<\/p>\n
All those mineral qualities
\nThat smooth and soften too
\nThe caldera green with energy
\nThe bears believe its true<\/p>\n
Such a gloriousness around about
\nSo much for one to see
\nThe bears they have no fear of us
\nAnd live there naturally<\/p>\n
This is how it should be
\nNo poachers anywhere
\nThe hunting mob are no where
\nThe animals all share<\/p>\n
Russia seems to care about its
\nWild places and we
\nWatch our countries destroying them
\nCreating adversity<\/p>\n
Allowing in the hunters the trappers
\nThats what we
\nAre doing to our wild life
\nAnd soon we shall not see<\/p>\n
Badgers foxes rabbits
\nThe solitary Hare
\nGrouse and pheasants
\nWhy is that because we are not aware
\nOf the value and importance
\nOf the wild souls of the field
\nOf how their very existence
\nAnd of How it all does build<\/p>\n
Into a land of wonderment
\nEach has a place and they
\nChange the
\nLand mass materially
\nUntil man gets in the way<\/p>\n
We have to work with nature
\nPreserve with empathy
\nLeave the bloody guns at home
\nJust come along and see<\/p>\n
Be part of Mother Nature
\nAnd everything she does
\nSee her glorious colours
\nHear her eternal buzz<\/p>\n
Watch the myriad gifts she gives
\nAnd be amazed that she
\nLets us come with cameras
