A gentle boy
\nThe family’s pride and joy
\nOur dear T-bone
\nIts a matter of regret to say
\nHow much we miss our boy today<\/p>\n
Samantha and Cody loved him so
\nHe was always there
\nAs we all know
\nSo friendly and so loyal was he
\nAnd was loved by Brittany
\nAnd her 3 children for he cared
\nPart of the family
\nAnd always shared<\/p>\n
His love for us he showed it, and we
\nLoved his emotionality
\nPlaying ball he loved that game
\nWe would Throw it and he would want to claim
\nGo and fetch it and bring it back
\nWet and squashy or on his jack
\nHe would play with it he would chew and chew
\nThats what T-bone liked to do<\/p>\n
A dog is part of the family
\nAnd he lets you know that obviously
\nHe was always there with a wagging tail
\nThose great big eyes he would never fail
\nTo greet us with his loving soul
\nHe would entertain us out on a stroll<\/p>\n
And when we heard what the neighbour had done
\nShot our T-bone and our fun
\nHe had taken away had removed him, he
\nWould no longer come back tragically
\nOur darling T-bone he was gone
\nTo the rainbow bridge perhaps upon
\nIt now he stands with his wagging tail
\nAnd his sweet demeanour for he won’t fail<\/p>\n
Wherever he goes his joy goes too
\nAnd we miss him so oh yes we do
\nIt is so final one moment he
\nIs dashing about for all to see
\nThe next he was gone
\nHe has been returned
\nIn a plastic bag
\nThats how we learned
\nEternal sleep would be his today
\nThough his soul will never go away<\/p>\n
Pulling a trigger on some soul why
\nWe ask ourselves daily as do I
\nWe Really don’t want to admit he’s gone
\nAnd will no longer sit upon<\/p>\n
Or try to sit upon my lap
\nHe would sleep sometimes
\nAnd he would yap
\nHaving a dream twitching away
\nT-bone really loved to play<\/p>\n
Jerry Baker the man next door
\nHe has dogs so he knows the law
\nHe knew T-bone and knew how he
\nTicked he just could never be
\nAn aggressive dog he was friendly, he
\nWas as affable as you or me
\nExcitable sometimes we all are but he
\nWould just settle down so peacefully<\/p>\n
A noble hound was T-bone, he
\nHad a lovely ancestry
\nHe just got on with everyone
\nOn rainy days he was our sun
\nA precious jewel yes we can say
\nWho brought his happiness to play<\/p>\n
We buried him out in the yard
\nWith a pillow and his ball, it was so hard
\nTo see him there his eternal sleep
\nMade everyone of us just weep
\nHe looked at us though he was still
\nWhy Jerry baker had to kill
\nOur pretty boy our family friend
\nWhy Jerry Baker had to end<\/p>\n
Such a worthy life such a lovely boy
\nOf course his mothers pride and joy
\nAlways warm hearted kind and good
\nAsk him anything and he would
\nCome or go no hassle there
\nA heart of gold that he would share<\/p>\n
As for the neighbour who shot our friend
\nOur surprise that he did defend
\nHis motives, and, what he had done
\nShooting our dear one on the run
\nRunning away he clearly knew
\nThe gun had been fired what could he do
\nHe must have hoped he could get away
\nBut alas for him he would never play<\/p>\n
With his red ball or with us again
\nThe bullet killed him and no doubt the pain
\nShook his spirit which sank into
\nHis body now what could he do
\nClose his eyes and wait to die
\nAnd forever we shall be asking why
\nThey didn’t arrest this neighbour who
\nShot our friend yes shot him through<\/p>\n
At his burial in the yard
\nWe cried we cried it was all so hard
\nTo cover him our sweet dear soul
\nAnd know that he was in that hole
\nOn a pillow with his things
\nSleeping peacefully and it brings
\nSuch sadness to us to know he is there
\nDear T-bone and you all now share<\/p>\n
Our loss and are helping to bring
