The Liuwa plains in Zambia
\nHave suffered the predation
\nNot of other animals
\nBut man un kind his nation
\nOf hunters poachers, they
\nProved to me how arrogant they are
\nWith their display<\/p>\n
They have torn away the fabric
\nBy shooting animals who
\nLived upon this wilderness
\nAs many were prone to do
\nThey came to kill the Lions
\nThat once roared loudly all about
\nTheir heads now hang on dusty walls
\nAs evidence of the rout<\/p>\n
Its a huge place vast and fertile
\nThat boasts a purple sky
\nOne lion lives their she is known as
\nLady Liuwa why?
\nBecause she is the only one
\nLeft to live and play
\nAnd around her still are animals
\nThat could be used for prey<\/p>\n
She’s remarkably in good condition
\nFor a lone lionness to be looking as she is looking
\nShe really needs to be a really excellent hunter
\nWhich within tall grasses she
\nCan become a phantom tawny bodied shadow easily<\/p>\n
And she does and fights her battles
\nAvoiding conflict she
\nMust watch her step for Hyeana’s can
\nBe dangerous actually
\nSo she may in fact be successful
\nBut have her bounty lost
\nThis is what a solitary lion
\nKnows can be the cost<\/p>\n
The purpose of my message here
\nIs about arrogance from those
\nHunters who talk conservation
\nThinking that they pose
\nAdvantages or say they do
\nTo give them credence but we
\nKnow it is the opposite
\nThey change it tragically<\/p>\n
Balance in predation
\nAnd prey animals abroad
\nIs all to do with Nature
\nThe great mother can afford
\nTo balance and re balance
\nAnd counteract predation
\nBut hunters and poachers
\nAnd trappers who come
\nDestroy the mean creation<\/p>\n
Its arrogance and ignorance
\nOf the true habitation
\nThe numbers that are needed
\nThat is in relation
\nTo what indeed is balance
\nWhich only Nature knows
\nThe hunter man is not my fan
\nAs the wilderness now shows<\/p>\n
Predation and prey animals
\nBecome imbalanced by
\nTaking out the younger or the older
\nAnd the pie
\nCreated from above it all
\nAssesses what is right
\nThe hunters come for trophies
\nAnd mostly come at night<\/p>\n
To rebuild lands to balance
\nThe order must be sought
\nNo hunting and no poaching on this land
\nGive it some thought
\nA single hunter with a gun can knock
\nOut various prey
\nAll put there with a purpose
\nNot to be blown away<\/p>\n
Hunter man and Poacher man
\nTo you I say aloud
\nYou are ruining everything
\nYou might think you stand proud
\nBut you are a bunch of arseholes
\nWith little in your head
\nHunting must be banned here
