Old Brock probably saw the Romans
\nThe Cathedral bells rang for all time
\nForever there’s been a criss cross trail
\nStriped black and white face bushy tail
\nWoodland valleys labyrinths of tunnels underground
\nDaffodils there yellow yawnings
\nCountry Lanes there are no warnings
\nBovine TB don’t blame brock
\nIts not old brock now in the dock
\nSorry, scratching all the time
\nFresh bedding, cubs born watch them climb
\nMaking hay, a pastime they
\nenjoy a nice warm bed to lay
\nSome sad farmers now do try
\nTo cull these children
\nTell me why?
\nBecause they were here
\nlong before
\nThe dairy cow and the stable door
\nDigging their holes
\nestablishing setts
\neating the worms
\nthe brave lad gets
\nTo play in the thickets
\nThe wild mans hard
\nSo let them live

A shy lad who frequents the countryside and has done for centuries- Leave them alone they are my friends and Dairy Cows are not given TB by them, that’s to do with feed and care of the cows, both alien really to what ungulates should be fed on and how they should be cared for. Continue reading
