\nin the monkey world
\nthey thought they’d find
\nthe answer in the University
\nat California Riverside
\nPsychologists
\nbelieved that they
\nwere better placed
\nand Macaques could pay
\nthey took him from his mother
\ndespite how much he cried
\nImagine, how both of them felt
\na little soul called “Britches”
\nhis eyelids sewn together
\nthis poor wee soul was blind
\nwhen the Liberation boys got wind of this
\nwhat they did find
\nwhen they raided the facility
\nclearly determined they
\nfound the the little angels
\nand saved them
\nright away<\/p>\n
from torture in the
\nthird degree
\nthese so called medics who
\nhad carried out experiments
\non tiny babies too
\nbehaviour and neural development
\nsensory substitution
\na device attached to “Britches” brain
\naccepted a solution
\nActivists found “Britches”
\ncowering in a cage
\nhis face covered in bandages
\nhis shock went off the page
\nthe cruelty was clearly
\nbeyond the proverbial pail
\nwhatever the Pychologist’s said
\nthey should all be thrown in jail
\nin stead of that when questioned
\nI understand one said
\nI’ve worked in this laboratory
\nfor 18 years, and led
\na team and we’ve been working
\nin this facility
\nand now the whole place
\nhas been trashed
\nand our animals set free
\nshe was shocked and so emotional

\nto be in this facility
\nthey were kept here
\nagainst their will
\nand if ALF, hadn’t raided
\nthey would probably be here still<\/p>\n
“Britches” was examined
\nby a veterinary who said
\nthe eye pads were all bloody
\nand really this had led
\nto infection and more agony
\nthe sutures far too long
\nfor a baby, it was horrible
\nthe whole damn thing was wrong
\nreally they had been unkind
\nto tiny infant souls
\nscience clearly gets it wrong
\nchasing the wrong goals
\nthe blind can never benefit
\nfrom torture or from pain
\nexacting this on babies
\nagain and again and again
\nis a terrible indictment
\nits basically far too cruel
\nand the laboratory
\nhas stopped this work
\nthe pain did over rule
\n“Britches” did recover
\nthough it took a good long while
\nand he went off to a sanctuary
\nand enjoyed a life in style<\/p>\n
In the present state of affairs
\nthese psychologists are seen
\nas advancing medical science
\nand ALF are a vile machine
\nterrorists criminals burglars
\nwhen caught should be put away
\nwhich goes to show, in this world of ours
\nthere’s still a lot to say
\nits really sick beyond belief
\nCorporate power is immense
\nin the name of science
\nall this makes no sense
\nthe animals must suffer
\nbe tortured and be slain
\nbe connected up to instruments
\nthat cause the greatest pain
\nand thinking souls
\nand caring souls
\nmust just sit back and say
\nscience is now paramount
\nand the animals must pay
\nwhatever price and terrorists
\nare labelled and will be
\nincarcerated and experimented on as well
