{"id":23339,"date":"2015-09-21T09:27:25","date_gmt":"2015-09-21T09:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=23339"},"modified":"2015-09-21T10:09:49","modified_gmt":"2015-09-21T10:09:49","slug":"autumn-equinox-at-the-roll-rights-stones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/09\/autumn-equinox-at-the-roll-rights-stones\/","title":{"rendered":"Autumn Equinox at the Roll rights stones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A coming together of friends on the earth<br \/>\nRoll rights the backdrop with all of its worth<br \/>\nA great spread of fields for all eyes to see<br \/>\nIn the comfort and shade of many a tree<br \/>\nOur circle was cast we held hands we were one<br \/>\nThe ritual you felt it, it had begun<br \/>\nAbove us a grey sky but the wind seemingly<br \/>\nSubsided we warmed to its true mystery<\/p>\n<p>Veronica arch druid spectacular<br \/>\nWith her well chosen words in the vernacular<br \/>\nShe puts all at ease some had not been before<br \/>\nAnd you just get drawn into the care at the core<br \/>\nThe Autumn Equinox and people could see<br \/>\nThe colours the vibrance of every tree<br \/>\nThe mid harvest festival to contemplate<br \/>\nAn abundance of crops for the forthcoming plate<br \/>\nToday we were fortunate for many came<br \/>\nNew faces and old faces and some of  the same<br \/>\nAnd a hand fasting group whose energy flowed<br \/>\nA coming together clearly it showed<br \/>\nThey were happy and joyful and took on the day<br \/>\nMany had come from far far away<br \/>\nThey injected their love and their gleeful desire<br \/>\nWith their exuberance and with their fire<\/p>\n<p>They joined in the harvest play that was performed<br \/>\nAgain as the villagers everyone warmed<br \/>\nTo their spirit their playfulness they brought such fun<br \/>\nAnd the old harvest spirit in black he had done<br \/>\nA great job our Ollie replacing the sun<br \/>\nThe magic of harvest willingness to<br \/>\nBe part of the village and the great harvest through<\/p>\n<p>Then it was food and a small sip of mead<br \/>\nTo warm the old cockles and help all succeed<br \/>\nAnd whilst this was happening the old grey bard<br \/>\nWent into the circle to give us a yard<br \/>\nOf prose about why we were all there today<br \/>\nAnd it rolled off his tongue like a wet bale of hay<\/p>\n<p>Then it was Claudia&#8217;s turn in the ring<br \/>\nWith a crisp gentle voice she did gently bring<br \/>\nThe astrological meaning, and we<br \/>\nLearned a great deal from her actually<br \/>\nIn her autumnal colours she brought it to bear<br \/>\nThe harvest the equinox that we could share<\/p>\n<p>Then our arch druid resplendent in green<br \/>\nPicked up the speaking stick explaining the scene<br \/>\nWas set for each of us some words for to say<br \/>\nBe comfortable enjoy it for that is the way<br \/>\nAnd we went around the circle each soul in turn<br \/>\nFeeling the fervour and began to learn<br \/>\nThat we were all friends with love in our sights<br \/>\nAt the druidic circle within the roll rights<\/p>\n<p>There were children a dog and people who came<br \/>\nTo be part of the ritual and somehow to claim<br \/>\nA place on the earth and to feel its great power<br \/>\nTo share earnest thoughts and under that shower<br \/>\nOf historic relevance and, magic there<br \/>\nWe all became one in the oxfordshire air<br \/>\nWe ended with &#8220;Ho&#8221;
