Suddenly i am an alien
\nBut I never came from Mars
\nI actually came from Syria
\nOut there in the stars
\nBombed out of my mothers house
\nThrown aboard a boat
\nThat sailed under the night sky
\nAnd then it was not afloat<\/p>\n
I was struggling in the water
\nAnd then was washed to shore
\nLying in the breakers
\nWondering what for
\nWhere was my dear mother
\nI was now alone
\nCrying on a beach somewhere
\nSomething,I had not known<\/p>\n
Before this very moment
\nA dark and lonely place
\nA refugee whatever that was
\nWith a bloodied face
\nI was unacclimatized
\nTo what was going on
\nAs to where my mother was
\nI just knew she was gone<\/p>\n
Where. I was I did not know
\nIn foreign parts for sure
\nIn a great state of confusion
\nAnd feeling very sore
\nMy hands were bleeding
\nAs was my ear
\nFrom that shambles on the boat
\nSuddenly it was upside down
\nAnd yes I was afloat<\/p>\n
I had Never been a swimmer
\nBut I had learned to float
\nAnd so I got onto a beach
\nThat was something of note
\nBut nobody else was with me
\nI just began to cry
\nI honestly thought my time was up
\nAnd that I was going to die<\/p>\n
What was to be my destiny
\nI didn’t know where I was
\nAnd were the natives friendly
\nWell yea just because
\nI did feel really frightened
\nAnd hungry I was so hungry
\nI could eat sand
\nAs I am sure some people was
\nEating what they found upon the beach
\nHowever they
\nEating Crabs and prawns and sea weed
\nAnd whatever looked okay<\/p>\n
Someone came and took my photo
\nGod knows where it be
\nSlapped on face book I expect
\nFor the armchair lot to see
\nBegging for some money to save us
\nI expect
\nAnd I hope people will give a hand
\nSomehow I detect<\/p>\n
That despite things getting harder
\nPictures of me will test
\nTheir nerves I am sure do not ignore
\nThe plea and all the rest
\nWe are, in a great quandary
\nWhat will become of me
\nNo parents and no papers
