We have climbed up in this truck
\nIn desperation
\nAmongst the sacks and drums
\nThe children too
\nThe journey long and vile
\nGod knows whats on the dial
\nNo food no water
\nWhat were we going to do<\/p>\n
No paperwork to speak of
\nLoads of bruises
\nClimbing in the truck
\nIt was too high
\nThis really is endurance and discomfort
\nAnd the Air in here is making me want to cry<\/p>\n
We cling together weeping
\nIts painfully unpleasant
\nTo be sure
\nThe vehicle was not checked at the border
\nThe box not opened and in fact whats more
\nNo matter now how calm how quiet
\nWe have ever been
\nIn amongst these big sacks
\nWe just knew
\nIf our destination wasn’t very close to where we were
\nWe wouldn’t be able to hold out which is true<\/p>\n
Victims we are victims
\nAnd some might ask me why
\nWould I risk my children’s lives
\nFor may be we shall die
\nNot even a place to piss in
\nThats how tight it was as well
\nGoing back to memories
\nOf past loves
\nCouldn’t take away
\nThis present Hell<\/p>\n
We clung together
\nBreathing became difficult
\nThe lorry trundled on and on and on
\nLots of really bumpy roads
\nKeeping the speeding down
\nThat was until all of us
\nWere yea gone<\/p>\n
Palestine was a war torn hell hole outpost
\nWe stayed there but were tormented noon and night
\nBeaten sworn at frightened at every checkpoint
\nWe could never ever find the light
\nWe lived in a bombed place across the river
\nFor months the children hadn’t been to school
\nWe couldn’t get fresh water and as for my young daughter
\nJust to get her there I broke every rule<\/p>\n
We held hands knowing life for us was over
\nIn London they would find us and would know
\nHow desperate we all were to get to Britain
