Once in a lifetime babies are born
\nShirley gave birth
\nHer baby was torn
\nAway from her side
\nIn frustration and woe

A circus is no place

\nBroke both his legs and had to be put down
\nYet more incompetence from the chief clown<\/p>\n
ringling’s honestly we have heard it before
\nThese are wild animals outside their law
\nThey walk for miles they are social souls
\nThey so not adapt to be shackled their roles
\nIn trucks and in wagons and chained in a tent
\nThis is no habitat who’d be content
\nWith this dreadful life the circus must end
\nWild animals truthfully we have to defend<\/p>\n
Look at Ricardo what chance did he have
\nHe never knew love who was lost to the world
\nThese part time trainers are hopeless in fact
\nThey too are really only now hurled
\nInto the ring of life and they don’t know
\nWhat makes an elephant tick its the show
\nIt has to go on get bums on seats
\nSell loads of tickets its one of the treats<\/p>\n
For people in towns to the circus to see
\nPerforming animals look mum they be
\nOut there performing the elephants they
\nCan climb and can cycle they do it all day
\nWhat kind of fools are we imagining they
\nWant to be climbing about their dismay
\nAt being here performing tricks for a few
