In the salty wrath of the ocean
\nTousled bodies lie
\nChildren full of hope and joy
\nThere before us die
\nWhy we ask ourselves those of us
\nCaring of these scenes
\nBecause we interfered with them
\nWe used our grand machines
\nTo bomb and strafe their villages
\nTheir bridges and their schools
\nThey are children and their parents
\nAre not the bloody fools
\nThey are truly caring people
\nLost in the froth and strife
\nTossed in the brine rich breakers
\nWashed up in what is life
\nOther people living people those we didn’t know
\nThey do not speak our language
\nIts embarrassing when they show
\nUp upon the beaches lifeless lost but there
