the birth of a cow
\nthe stress and the strain
\na baby is born
\nits beginning to rain
\nit falls on the straw
\nand tries to regain
\nits footing but of course
\nit falls over again<\/p>\n
its legs are so weak
\nits abundantly clear
\nits been in the warmth
\ncurled up, now its here
\nrapidly, its legs are
\nstrengthening and
\nsoon it will walk
\nby itself on the land<\/p>\n
but for not very long
\nfor adversity comes
\nman the arch enemy
\nand his boot numbs
\nhumanity really
\nfor as we now peer
\ninto the barn
\nit seems very clear<\/p>\n
the calf is a male
\nand is now dragged away
\nand kicked by the farmer
\nfor this is the day
\nit must die
\nthe air even it
\ncannot taste
\nThe milk from its mother
\nthe farmer won’t waste
\non the baby
\nits off to the dairy
\nto sell
\nand despatches
\nthe poor baby
\ndirectly to Hell
\nthe mother in tears
\nbellows for days
\nbut profit comes first
