With animals some reverse their ideology
\nFor them the cage, the tank, the enclosures are
\nFitting
\nThey are acceptable, but we imprison those
\nof us Who are the criminals
\nTheir freedom we suppose<\/p>\n
Is precious so we lock them up
\nThat is what we do
\nBut the animals are not criminals
\nSo no justification to<\/p>\n
Take Sea World its a corporation
\nAnd as such its world
\nIs about making a profit
\nIn commerce it has hurled<\/p>\n
Its vision let us call it
\nTo educate and learn
\nAbout the wonderful Orca’s
\nAnd the Dolphins
\nTheir concern<\/p>\n
Rapidly to capture
\nTo loss of freedom, they
\nAre wild they live in the ocean
\nAnd swim many miles each day<\/p>\n
It isn’t an illusion
\nThat the ocean’s bountiful space
\nIs an ever changing vista
\nOne of beauty and one of grace<\/p>\n
Life is so abundant
\nAt every level they
\nManifest great bounty
\nAnd with it they display<\/p>\n
A realness and a quality
\nAnd an outwardness to see
\nAnd be with kindred spirits
\nTheir authenticity<\/p>\n
Wildness is a quality
\nFreedom is a state
\nTo be locked up and preached to
\nIs something most would hate<\/p>\n
To incorporate that in business
\nWhere profit is the key
\nAnd to build a world around that
\nIs an illusion actually<\/p>\n
It lacks true understanding
\nIts also lacks consent
\nThe consequence is damaging
\nHowever well its meant<\/p>\n
Controversy obviously will surface
\nAnd discord
\nTunelessness and dissonance
\nCan never thus reward<\/p>\n
Monotony apparent
\nLife in a tank will be
\nLacking equilibrium
\nAnd reciprocity<\/p>\n
The greatness of the ocean
\nThe vastness and the scale
\nFar flying and far reaching
\nFor every single whale<\/p>\n
The incredible complexity
\nTranscending man’s desire
\nIts completely overwhelming
\nAnd on a level higher<\/p>\n
Than any concrete tank
\nCan ever be whatever size
\nWhatever colour however deep
\nWe have to realise<\/p>\n
Life itself is stimulating
\nA kaleidoscope of thought
\nAn all embracing spectacle
\nWhere every soul is caught<\/p>\n
Numerous encounters
\nAbundance everywhere
\nMyriads of plant life
\nGreat throngs for all to share<\/p>\n
An awareness of the miraculous
\nAn inexhaustible array
\nOf life forms and of light itself
\nTo give that eternal sway<\/p>\n
Life cycles ever changing
\nThe rhythm of the waves
\nAll creations chemistry
\nA melting pot that saves<\/p>\n
The adventure of each moment
\nThe agenda of the now
\nThat engages inspiration
\nThough who would question how<\/p>\n
Becalmed and vegetating
\nExpressionless and numb
\nA sort of stagnant soup of their own making
\nAnd a hum
\nof mechanical contraption
\nAn alien display
\nAnd being agitated
\nAlmost everyday<\/p>\n
Oceanus Triton Neptune
\nThe great gods of the sea
\nThis is no pond of herrings
\nIts where we were born to be<\/p>\n
The Orca’s cry their eyes out
\nBeing locked in concrete pools
\nAnd made to do the circus tricks
\nDesigned by bloody fools<\/p>\n
The vital spark the breath the soul
\nThe vivacity we know
\nCompare that with a concrete tank
\nWhere only death will show<\/p>\n
The netherworld and Hades
\nThe last gasp of the doomed
\nIn a world of man made structure
\nTragically entombed<\/p>\n
The perspective of emotion
\nThe resonance below
\nThe ability to communicate
\nWithin the watery flow<\/p>\n
The intensity of light forms
\nThe experience we see
\nMan is in his darkness
\nHe is no luminary<\/p>\n
We must get out of the idea
\nThat containment is the way
\nIts wrong man is the criminal
\nMaking the wild one pay<\/p>\n
An imageless brain is nothing
\nShort of vacant in the face
\nOf true lucubration
\nEvolving from a place<\/p>\n
Be free go free is how it was
\nBefore the corporate grab
\nSubjugation doesn’t work
\nSuch slavery is drab<\/p>\n
Controlling and confining
\nSuppressing all the while
\nTrying to change their mentality
\nAnd their ever flowing style<\/p>\n
Talking up affection
\nAnd the will to entertain
\nThe cash cow does the business
\nDespite its infernal pain<\/p>\n
And then of course its anguish
\nIts suffering its woe
\nChewing on its bars we see it
\nIts an awful blow<\/p>\n
The aqua parks are erroneously
\nBent on moving cash
\nIts all about big profits
\nEverywhere they dash<\/p>\n
About just screwing others
\nEven themselves as well
\nThere is no time for anyone
\nHeaven is the new Hell<\/p>\n
