A typical street just anywhere
\nIn this day and age
\nHuge great corporations
\nWith balance sheets off the page
\nSitting in a doorway
\nA homeless man who knows
\nHis circumstances nobody
\nBut his sadness surely
\ngrows<\/p>\n
No home no bed no food no friends
\nImagine will you what that sends
\nOut there in the street at night
\nIn a life devoid of light
\nHe’s invisible to the passers by
\nThey have their own lives
\nWhich is why
\nThey fail to see him squatting there
\nWith his bucket and his bed roll bare<\/p>\n
Fortune seems to have passed him by
\nLook closely a tear is in his eye
\nHe was once happy he was once, he
\nHad some bad luck and now he be
\nOn the street nearly every day
\nHe’d been beaten up but he couldn’t pay
\nAnyone for anything
\nNo fixed abode
\nThat infernal ring<\/p>\n
Till one day sitting all forlorn
\nWishing perhaps he had not been born
\nSomeone sat by him and asked if he
\nCould borrow his bucket
\nTo drum on and be
\nGiving the passers by some hope
\nSome music helping them To cope
\nAnother came and played guitar
\nAnd another came to sing<\/p>\n
The star was the homeless man
\nAghast was he
\nAs the angels played
\nAnd he could see
\nThe public noticing him at last
\nAnd money appearing pretty fast<\/p>\n
What does it do for the homeless man
\nWhat does it do for those that ran
\nPassed him every day before
\nAnd what does it do for you
\nI am sure
\nWe all can imagine that man alone
\nMaybe we have been there
\nThe seeds we have sown
\nThe illness or redundant note
\nWe were just unable to stay afloat<\/p>\n
The angels came in The form of souls
\nMade some music entered their roles
\nMade a man happy he could buy some tea
\nOr a place to sleep and feel happy<\/p>\n
If we see a soul on the pavement lets give
