{"id":22550,"date":"2015-08-16T07:24:35","date_gmt":"2015-08-16T07:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=22550"},"modified":"2015-08-16T07:31:32","modified_gmt":"2015-08-16T07:31:32","slug":"dolphin-pools-in-bali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/08\/dolphin-pools-in-bali\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolphin Pools in Bali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ocean a few yards away<br \/>\nImagine that,  can we,<br \/>\nActually imagine that to be<br \/>\nClose to the sea<br \/>\nOur home is just a leap of faith<br \/>\nAnd we are in this pool<br \/>\nThis concrete and tiled monstrosity<br \/>\nWhere human trolls now drool<\/p>\n<p>Over their crushed ice drinks<br \/>\nAnd watch our sorrows grow<br \/>\nThey believe they are sentient<br \/>\nBut of course most of us know<br \/>\nThe humans have their money<br \/>\nSheets of paper that they use<br \/>\nTo control one another<br \/>\nAnd actually abuse<\/p>\n<p>All of us, us wild souls<br \/>\nWe are pickled in chlorine<br \/>\nFed on buckets of rotten fish<br \/>\nFor me its all obscene<br \/>\nThat humans pay to come here<br \/>\nPay these bandits who<br \/>\nTrick us and then capture us<br \/>\nAnd make us swim with you<\/p>\n<p>Will you help us just get back<br \/>\nWe need our families,  we<br \/>\nNeed our parents  we need our friends<br \/>\nIts where we have to be<br \/>\nRubbing against humans<br \/>\nOily smelly souls<br \/>\nIts truthfully unhealthy<br \/>\nIts not one of life&#8217;s goals<\/p>\n<p>And hearing the great ocean<br \/>\nSo very close to here<br \/>\nIs the height of absurdity<br \/>\nIts dreary and unclear<br \/>\nWhy we are made to do this<br \/>\nWhen lethargy prevails<br \/>\nTo us you seem unfeeling<br \/>\nCompletely off the rails<\/p>\n<p>There is so much discomfort<br \/>\nTo endure this feels so bad<br \/>\nIts anguish from the moment we wake up<br \/>\nIts really sad<br \/>\nThe hopelessness of living<br \/>\nIn a tiny little pool<br \/>\nWith the ocean just a leap away<br \/>\nAnd The burden of it all<\/p>\n<p>Is killing us, our spirits<br \/>\nLowering by the day<br \/>\nIts inert and just a waste of time<br \/>\nHow can this be the way<br \/>\nFor dolphins to be living<br \/>\nIts a death sentence where we<br \/>\nGo down hill now every day<br \/>\nInto adversity<\/p>\n<p>Feeling so downtrodden<br \/>\nUncared for left to feel<br \/>\nUnloved and forgotten<br \/>\nAnd how can that appeal<br \/>\nThe despondency of so many<br \/>\nIs apparently overlooked<br \/>\nWe just have to put up with this<br \/>\nIt seems that we are cooked<\/p>\n<p>Its dark and its forbidding<br \/>\nWe are driven to despair<br \/>\nAnd its so banal and dreary<br \/>\nAnd so bloody unfair<br \/>\nSome of you are protesting<br \/>\nLike Jool&#8217;s and others who<br \/>\nRealise our predicament<br \/>\nAnd want to help us through<\/p>\n<p>This dark patch in our existence<br \/>\nGet us back in the sea<br \/>\nLift us from the ugliness<br \/>\nBack to where we ought to be<br \/>\nThe ocean gives us everything<br \/>\nFor there our eyes can see<br \/>\nDespite your filthy dumping<br \/>\nIts there that we feel free<\/p>\n<p>Its our world its dramatic<br \/>\nIts where we know the ropes<br \/>\nAnd with your help and more of you<br \/>\nOn twitter we have hopes<br \/>\nThat we can one day get back<br \/>\nTo the world under the sea<br \/>\nTo marvel at its wonder<br \/>\nAnd our integrity<\/p>\n<p>For us its where our life is<br \/>\nOur world beneath the sea<br \/>\nFor us its inspiration<br \/>\nAnd where we need to be<br \/>\nSo help us try your very best<br \/>\nWe so appreciate<br \/>\nThe efforts of protestors<br \/>\nWho care about the fate<\/p>\n<p>Of all of us.
