The ocean a few yards away
\nImagine that, can we,
\nActually imagine that to be
\nClose to the sea
\nOur home is just a leap of faith
\nAnd we are in this pool
\nThis concrete and tiled monstrosity
\nWhere human trolls now drool<\/p>\n
Over their crushed ice drinks
\nAnd watch our sorrows grow
\nThey believe they are sentient
\nBut of course most of us know
\nThe humans have their money
\nSheets of paper that they use
\nTo control one another
\nAnd actually abuse<\/p>\n
All of us, us wild souls
\nWe are pickled in chlorine
\nFed on buckets of rotten fish
\nFor me its all obscene
\nThat humans pay to come here
\nPay these bandits who
\nTrick us and then capture us
\nAnd make us swim with you<\/p>\n
Will you help us just get back
\nWe need our families, we
\nNeed our parents we need our friends
\nIts where we have to be
\nRubbing against humans
\nOily smelly souls
\nIts truthfully unhealthy
\nIts not one of life’s goals<\/p>\n
And hearing the great ocean
\nSo very close to here
\nIs the height of absurdity
\nIts dreary and unclear
\nWhy we are made to do this
\nWhen lethargy prevails
\nTo us you seem unfeeling
\nCompletely off the rails<\/p>\n
There is so much discomfort
\nTo endure this feels so bad
\nIts anguish from the moment we wake up
\nIts really sad
\nThe hopelessness of living
\nIn a tiny little pool
\nWith the ocean just a leap away
\nAnd The burden of it all<\/p>\n
Is killing us, our spirits
\nLowering by the day
\nIts inert and just a waste of time
\nHow can this be the way
\nFor dolphins to be living
\nIts a death sentence where we
\nGo down hill now every day
\nInto adversity<\/p>\n
Feeling so downtrodden
\nUncared for left to feel
\nUnloved and forgotten
\nAnd how can that appeal
\nThe despondency of so many
\nIs apparently overlooked
\nWe just have to put up with this
\nIt seems that we are cooked<\/p>\n
Its dark and its forbidding
\nWe are driven to despair
\nAnd its so banal and dreary
\nAnd so bloody unfair
\nSome of you are protesting
\nLike Jool’s and others who
\nRealise our predicament
\nAnd want to help us through<\/p>\n
This dark patch in our existence
\nGet us back in the sea
\nLift us from the ugliness
\nBack to where we ought to be
\nThe ocean gives us everything
\nFor there our eyes can see
\nDespite your filthy dumping
\nIts there that we feel free<\/p>\n
Its our world its dramatic
\nIts where we know the ropes
\nAnd with your help and more of you
\nOn twitter we have hopes
\nThat we can one day get back
\nTo the world under the sea
\nTo marvel at its wonder
\nAnd our integrity<\/p>\n
For us its where our life is
\nOur world beneath the sea
\nFor us its inspiration
\nAnd where we need to be
\nSo help us try your very best
\nWe so appreciate
\nThe efforts of protestors
\nWho care about the fate<\/p>\n
