The dolphin hunts are wicked
\nThey are evil and some more
\nUndignified and vulgar
\nCommercialized and raw
\nThe mortal trepidation
\nFor those pods caught in each drive
\nThe gracelessness and the clumsiness
\nAnd how few of them survive<\/p>\n
These are thinking caring
\nLovely souls
\nCreated never to be
\nSlaughtered in great numbers
\nIn the dark cove at Taiji
\nIts people truly satisfied
\nWith the unprepossessing way
\nWith the total hideosity
\nAnd are prepared to pay<\/p>\n
But for Broome to align itself
\nWith them
\nThe insentience it trails
\nThe unfeeling and the heartlessness
\nReally it just pales
\nInto an insignificance
\nThat mortals cannot see
\nCannot fathom cannot cope
\njust how can that be<\/p>\n
A pod of dolphins represents
\nJoyfulness and play
\nIts enchantment and exhilaration
\nAll along the way
\nThe family tree is evident
\nAs is all the delight
\nThe innocence apparent
\nIn what is eternal light<\/p>\n
Then Taiji stakes its evil claims
\nAnd the pods are torn apart
\nThe mournfulness the misery
\nIts straight from the heart
\nIts uncomfortable and harrowed
\nThe suffering they feel
\nAnd no regret and no remorse
\nThe dolefulness so real<\/p>\n
Their blood and guts
\nHang in the sea
\nThe cove turns red and they
\nMarvel at their prowess
\nThe fishermen who say
\nA lot but so much sorrow
\nIs reflected in the world
\nIn this generation breakdown
\nIn which the innocent are hurled<\/p>\n
I lament each passing
\nIts sickening for the soul
\nTheir beauty and sublimity
\nTheir perfection for the role
\nTheir elegance their radiance
\nBringers of such light
\nPaintable and handsome
\nTo be riddled with such blight<\/p>\n
Taiji its name is infamous
\nIts people they are too
\nOdious and repellant
\nIn exactly what they do
\nAnd Broome sits on its hands it seems
\nAnd accepts this infamy
