It ended the war
\nThats what it was for
\nGuilt not from those
\nWho agreed
\nThis was an option
\nAnd thus its adoption
\nSo many people
\nWould bleed<\/p>\n
Their skin would be torn off
\nTheir bodies
\nTheir hair would be scorched off their
\nHead
\nHundreds of thousands
\nSlaughtered like maggots
\nThats where this option
\nHad led<\/p>\n
People aspiring young people
\nMany had never done wrong
\nThousands of children
\nInnocent souls
\nThe decision they didn’t belong<\/p>\n
And thus someone
\nTook that decision
\nNot a child not an angel
\nWho cared
\nBut someone some sad politician
\nWho looked up at the sky
\nAnd just stared<\/p>\n
Loaded the bombs told the pilots
\nJust push that button and go
\nWait for the great mushroom cloud to fly hither
\nJust forget all of them down below
\nIn Hiroshima thousands and thousands
\nWomen and children alive
\nVaporised in a crescendo of blood
\nAnd Only a few did survive<\/p>\n
The great clouds spread everywhere causing
\nDeath and destruction as well
\nIt ended the war but it opened the door
\nTo a new kind of terrible Hell
\nThe nuclear age was upon us
\nOthers would be blown away
\nOthers would melt in the aura of death
\nStopping wars that was what they did say<\/p>\n
And those of us living believed them
\nQuietly we hoped it was true
\nClearly we wouldn’t have liked it to be
\nUs down there or may be you
\nOur loved ones their loved ones
\nAll of those people we knew and respected
\nAs friends
\nCaught up in that great ball of fire in the sky
\nAnd the terrible message it sends
\nAnd so we today watch Hiroshima day
\nAnd remember all those who were lost
