I count myself lucky
\nThat I became vegan
\nThe process for me, inhumane
\nTo kill creatures before
\nthey would naturally die
\nWas to me close to being insane.<\/p>\n
To breed them to grow fast
\nbut die even sooner was something
\nI just could’t see
\nAnd to introduce genes
\nfrom beings so distant
\nI tell you,it just sickened me<\/p>\n
It Was far far beyond what my brain
\ncould consider
\nI knew rocket science for me
\nwas far in the distance
\nfor I was still moved by
\nthe innocent flower
\nand the bee<\/p>\n
Then the big super hyper stores
\nopened their doors huge sheds
\nstock piled with so much
\nand the years passed and they became
\nbigger than giants
\nand the public just seemed
\nto lose touch.<\/p>\n
With reality
\nfor these great buyers
\nexerted immense pressure on
\nFarmers, and most of the poor ones,
\nand all of the small ones
\nare gone<\/p>\n
So now its the Factory Farmers,
\nWith their great concentration of Death
\nThe vastness of life
\nembedded with strife
\neach creature
\nfighting for breath<\/p>\n
With workers reduced
\nto camp soldiers
\nwhose spirit
\nwas vulnerable too
\nA few weeks of this
\nand it broke them
\nand their spineless desires
\ncame on through<\/p>\n
Many used torture and evil
\nAnd the creatures were set upon by
\nThese great mindless hordes
\nwith low wages and swords
\nhumiliation, but why?<\/p>\n
God doesn’t know why
\nWe all went down this road
\nBut the banksters were in it,
\nand they
\nTalked of scale, margins, profits, stakeholders you name it
\nand we all did pay<\/p>\n
But the animals
\nthey got the butt end
\nthe consumers
\nthey paid highly too
\nThe workers they sufferred
\nsome anguish for certain
\nand became
\nan unhappy crew.<\/p>\n
What could the sheds do
\nto make this all happen
\nCows out in fields, no! no way!
\nGrass fed, wild plants fed, never again
\nThe sun on their backs
\nNot Today.<\/p>\n
What would they eat then
\nits got to be measured,
\nits got to be cheap,
\nits a cost
\nwith the sheds telling farmers
\nthe price
\nthey must charge,
\ncorners were cut
\nethics tossed<\/p>\n
In the bin far away,
\nin the darkness
\nwhere the render
\nbecomes a good feed
\nSame species ground up,
\ndisease ridden souls
\nfeathers and hair
\nyes indeed<\/p>\n
Blood snot and shit
\neven urine
\nground up and dried
\nno one knew
\nmixed up with pellets
\nof plastic
\nand euthanized cats
\nyes a few<\/p>\n
and euthanized dogs
\neven more of them came
\nroad kills and horses
\nand more of the same
\nand dirt, rocks and sand,
\nwood chip and leads
\nMaggots and mold
\nand perhaps rotten seeds<\/p>\n
mixed altogether
\nwith colour and flour
\nAnd this is the food
\nthat the creatures devour
\na cow ruminates
\nwith its stomach digests
\nherbage no more
\nSo humanity rests<\/p>\n
its case
\nthen comes worst still
\nthe antibiotics,
\nthe wormers,the hormones
\nthe endocrine otics
\ndrugs, and vast residues,
\npestices all
\nmixed into the feed
\nwhich is bound to appal<\/p>\n
Mad cow disease
\ncame along, and it went
\nShock waves they entered us
\nall not content
\nwith the evil, that caused
\nthey continue to feed
\ntheir profit based science
\nuntil it did lead<\/p>\n
To a fresh holocaust
\nvia the animals they
\nSuffer the torment
\nthe evil they pay
\na terrible price
\nthat God granted them life
\nagonised living
\nright up till the knife<\/p>\n
Slit their throats
\nfor Halal and the great Kosher Law
\nNow takes its toll
\nall their blood and their gore
\nIs torn from their poor
\nravaged bodies and you
\nThe carnivore people
\nwhat do you do?<\/p>\n
You can’t wait to eat them
\nall dressed up and sold
\nunder pink lights
\nand on plastic trays bold
\nsold by the great sheds
\nwith their specifications

Every poor little chick

\nThe animal earthlings

the depth of disgust

\ntheir cries in the night
\nbeing stripped of their skins
\nbeing boiled till their white<\/p>\n
The plight of the animals
\nearthlings alas
\ncomes back to the carnivores
\ndying enmasse
\nof the awesome diseases,
\nthe agony felt
\nby the mother beside her young baby
\nshe’s knelt<\/p>\n
now for days watching
\nher babe trying to fight
\nfor the right to breathe air
\nand see the same light
\nBut the food that she ate
\nwith the soul in her womb
\nalas was nutrition
