A National Park offers freedom
\nFree born free bred and heart whole
\nThis was special Lion 13 years old
\nA wonderful spirit and soul
\nA master of all his surroundings
\nThe king of his jungle was he
\nUntrammelled unshackled uncurbed
\nAnd unhindered all these years
\nHe had been free<\/p>\n
Then we hear some sodding dentist
\nCharging exorbitant rates
\nSupposedly from Bloomington
\nSomewhere in the States
\nCame over to Zimbabwe
\nto have himself some fun
\nTo try to kill a nice fat
\nLion out there in the sun<\/p>\n
But decided on a night trip
\nAround the National Park
\nWhere he lured a greAt old majestic lion
\nIt was easier in the dark
\nStrapped some young dead animal
\nOn his vehicle and
\nScented the land around it
\nIf you do not understand
\nThe park is indeed a sanctuary
\nBut luring it outside
\nHe shot it with his crossbow
\nBut alas it never died<\/p>\n
Maybe he was a lousy shot
\nBut anyway it mean’t
\nThey would have to stalk it
\nBefore it was heaven sent
\nWith a cross bow bolt
\nStuck in its back
\nThe lion went off to try
\nAnd get away
\nfrom these bastards
\nIn agony no lie<\/p>\n
Allegedly 40 sodding hours
\nBut these so called hunters would
\nHave had to sleep
\nso i do not get their story
\nIn fact it makes me weep
\nThis poor Lion proud and handsome
\nSet to try to run
\nInjured by a crossbow bolt
\nKnowing his day was done<\/p>\n
Thats when he was found and shot
\nThis time with a gun
\nThen they cut his face off
\nHe could No longer run
\nThen they stripped him of his skin
\nAnd disembowelled him too
\nThis lack of complete respect
\nAnd we all know what to do
\nCall upon the great Sekhmet
\nThe Lioness headed one
\nA goddess of such wisdom
\nWho was having none
\nOf all this vile poltroonery
\nThis unheroic hate
\nThe bitterness and bad blood here
\nThis was never fate<\/p>\n
She would soon be after him
\nThis devil in disguise
\nWho clearly was no angel
\nWhich wasn’t a surprise
\nA complete abomination
\nA loathing i must add
\nHe killed the most famous Lion
\nAround
\nAnd so many now are sad<\/p>\n
What a loveless attitude
\nWhat a vindictive act
\nTo use a bloody crossbow
\nHow would we react
\nAnd not even kill the beast
\nInjure it and chase
\nStalk it in its agony
\nOf course it a disgrace<\/p>\n
And the dentist well my belief
\nIs he better top himself
\nHis business days are gone
\nWho would have him take their teeth out
\nWho would sit upon
\nHis bloody chair and smell his hands
\nA murderer who kills
\nThe most famous Lion in Zimbabwe
\nIt just gives me the chills<\/p>\n
40 hours what hunters are they supposed to be
\nThey cant keep up with an injured Lion
\nIts depravity
\nWhat a worthless bunch of arses
\nThis hunting party were
\nAnd this poor Lion was suffering
\nI am sure we all concur<\/p>\n
Cecil was so enchanting a pedigree of sort
\nAs handsome as a Lion can be
\nAnd worthy of much thought
\nBut these arses for hunters
\nWhen they caught him well they shot
\nThen they cut his face away
\nAnd his skin too, they were not
\nHappy he wore a collar
\nMeaning a unique lion perhaps
\nAnd so they disembowelled him
\nTo keep his identity under wraps<\/p>\n
They were entirely callous
\nTheir hearts had all but dried
\nTheir souls had fucking withered too
\nNobody denied
\nHow Ruthless and unmerciful
\nA disgrace to human kind
\nThey tortured that poor animal
\nJust leaving behind
\nA broken battered body
\nIts guts torn out and left
\nFor the vultures to come and gobble it up
\nTragically bereft<\/p>\n
Of all decency and true respect
\nFor a regent such as he
\nHe was special he was amazing
\nHe was nobility
\nHe had so much veneration
\nHe truly was adored
\nJust looking at whats left behind
\nIt really had me
\nMe floored<\/p>\n
America must send him back
\nTo face the rule of Law
\nLet him be tried by the courts
\nLet no man ignore
\nThe violent rotten POS
\nWho rapidly caught his flight
\nAnd left the country to mourn the loss
\nOf Cecil which cant be right<\/p>\n
Hunters trophy hunters
\nAre an insult and they should
\nAlong with those canned hunters
\nWho only think they are good
\nI regret they ever were given life
\nAnd They have no remorse
