\nOf fracking
\nOf giving a green light
\nTo corporates who
\nCare little for the environment
\nThats the environment shared by many
\nTheir energy is a negative
\nThey do<\/p>\n
Resent the people who would want
\nOur heritage
\nThe green parks and the forests
\nWhich our land
\nNeeds we need that balance
\nWe need those trees and plants
\nSomething the government cannot understand<\/p>\n
The vagary of political contributions
\nIts an energy thats powerful to those who
\nReceive this kind of energy that keeps their minds a racing
\nAnd clearly fracking friends do things for you
\nBut wasting a resource like an old forest
\nIs preposterous and a silly thing to do
\nThe area being priceless to so many
\nCompared to a ruination from the few<\/p>\n
I cannot bear the buffoonery of government
\nWith their dictums based on arrogance and who
\nImagine that their brilliance and sagacity
\nWill keep them all on target good and true
\nFracking is essentially a bad idea
\nIts costly to the people more so than
\nThe frackers who protect themselves with
\nStatutes from their friends
\nAs local sites and are sucked on down the pan<\/p>\n
The roads around the sites will be congested
\nWith tankers tearing up the roads and we
\nThe ratepayers will be forced to bear the brunt of this
\nAnd the frackers get off amazingly yea tax free
\nThe chancellor suddenly becomes a contortionist
\nBending this way that way every flipping way
\nTo accommodate the disaster all around us
\nAnd making sure the local people pay<\/p>\n
Dissent we need it people need to wake up
\nObject a right we just have to apply
\nSitting back and believing what they tell you
\nWill end up with a lot of tears to cry
\nAmerica and Australia are suffering
\nTheir precious air, their water and their land
\nThe destruction of their forests of their countrysides
\nWhich looking back most just don’t understand<\/p>\n
Its not a case of understanding actually
\nIts short term profit for the true elite
\nThey promise you the earth which doesn’t belong to them
\nAnd you will lose your shirt they have you beat
\nInsurances are not for your protection
\nTrespass sorry once again no way

So the government you voted in are at it
\nGreen parks forests you name it they
\nCan be all fracked under
\nPerhaps not on the surface

It makes no sense to do this

\nThe retraction of its worth
\nThe confessionals of frackers
\nWho confide apparently
\nIn a science that is so new to them
\nAn ideology<\/p>\n
Its all about discovery
\nAnd serendipity
\nThe horrendous waste of water
\nAnd added cost they will not see
\nMethane in our precious air
\nAnother cost to bear
\nHouse prices falling rapidly
\nWhich many locals share<\/p>\n
With interests rates soon rising
\nAnd prices falling foul
\nOf fracking in the district
\nAny wise old owl
\nWill tell you allowing fracking
\nIs not a good idea
\nSo do not believe the tories
