\nAs for compassion its gone out of fashion

\nThrough waves of emotion till they
\nCame through it all to the abyss of woe

In the ocean there is exhilaration
\nVitality laughter and joy
\nBlithe spirits are what we are after
\nWith all sorts of games we employ
\nOur radiance and understanding
\nResilient and buoyant all day
\nFrivolous really and sportive and frolicsome
\nThese qualities on us they Lay<\/p>\n
But clearly today was a solemn affair
\nWhole generations of our family there
\nOne after another we heard the death cries
\nAnd saw our loved ones struck before our eyes
\nWe all go to our maker in the most melting mood
\nWet eyed and doleful from us did exude
\nEverything we have inside us for we
\nAre sentient honestly we have to be<\/p>\n
Our charm our appeal and our beauty we share
\nWe learn and we teach just every soul there
\nTo slaughter us all in such a terrible way
\nAnd to leave us red eyed in all that bloody spray
\nIs an atrocious indictment of who humans are
\nAnd how low they have sunk and why they scar
\nLife and creation so blatantly they

Ungraceful they stand there like pillars of salt
