There is a disregard for all farm animals
\nEspecially pigs they do get a raw deal
\nTake the family farms in Pennnsylvania
\nAnd ask yourself how can this all be real
\nDowntrodden as if miscreants and criminals
\nDiscomfort is their order of each day
\nUncomfortable and ill at ease
\nA dictum really all might seize
\nA tale of woe and a price too high to pay<\/p>\n
Here they produce wholesome food or so they say
\nGoogle shows an idyll in the green
\nBut behind closed doors we see a different story
\nSomething more akin to the obscene
\nPigs are social animals caring for their young
\nAnd they are intelligent and we
\nTreat them as if they are morons drive most of them mad
\nAnd demonstrate our arrogance constantly<\/p>\n
Pigs are sentient creatures and clearly they resent
\nThe torture and the beatings
\nIts not energy well spent
\nit proves our mental numbness
\nOur complete lethargy
\nApparently unconscious to their sensitivity
\nWe set out to be cynical heartless even, we
\nBegin the torture process almost immediately<\/p>\n
Brutal and pervertedly we grab male babies and
\nCastrate them with our pliers do it just by hand
\nNo thought of reducing pain for them we heighten pain in fact
\nRoughly holding onto them and watching them react
\nScreaming out in agony and all we ever do
\nIs throw them down like bits of crap
\nI mean to say would you?<\/p>\n
Do this to a baby rips its testicles clear
\nWhich often ruptures the intestines
\nAnd leads to so much fear
\nOf people and of handlers
\nThe pain i dare not describe
\nOnly because its too much for me
\nOne must think of the poor hog tribe<\/p>\n
And our senseless acts of cruelty
\nAre we impervious to it?
\nDo we go about in such a daze
\nFilling our head with shit
\nDistracted by the moment
\nIn a turbulence of thought
\nDevoid of all misgivings
\nHonestly is it that in short?<\/p>\n
These animals are our prisoners
\nThey have no place to go
\nAll their lives they put up with it
\nAnd it all just seems to grow
\nMore noxious to their being
\nMore toxic to their soul
\nThey suffer our resentment
\nAnd there is an awful toll<\/p>\n
The extent to which it is happening
\nThe cruelty of man
\nThe tension and the false unrest
\nThat seems part of our plan
\nTo force them into tearfulness
\nTo make them weep and moan
\nTo increase their banality
\nThose are the seeds we have sown<\/p>\n
We have a curious ugliness
\nAnd unsightliness for we
\nTake out our frustrations on each of them
\nA hideosity
\nAn unlovely disposition
\nTo ravage and to rile
\nThe intelligence of the hog tribe
\nWho fail to reconcile<\/p>\n
Stuck in their squalid cages
\nPoky dirty crates
\nKicked at every opportunity
\nIn the darkness something waits
\nIs it Cerridwen with the ugliest of traits
\nPreparing for a showdown
\nWith the operatives who say
\nThey look after the pig boys
\nWelfare
\nAnd do it everyday<\/p>\n
But we all know that rhetoric
\nPuffing on the net
\nThe pig bogs are in concentration camps
\nThat is my bet
\nSubject to our vulgarity
\nOur boorishness our pain
\nOur tasteless vile expletives
\nThat would drive a nun insane<\/p>\n
And there is complete hopelessness
\nA counsel of despair
\nIts absolutely desperate
\nThe conditions we find there
\nMercy for animals
\nComes out and spells it out for us
\nTheir inauspicious future
\nThat nobody will discuss <\/p>\n
Great shafts of fear are everywhere
\nTerror mortal strife
\nA nervousness that starts when you arrive
\nAnd lasts all your life
\nAt any point you could be grabbed
\nAnd smashed down on the floor
\nOne minute a dreamy baby
\nThe next your brains are on the floor<\/p>\n
Your kicking trying to get away
\nAway from all this pain
\nOnly to be picked up and
\nThrashed yea once again
\nThese are fucking monsters
\nPaid to do us proud
\nCraven hearted spiritless
\nViolence from the crowd<\/p>\n
Gestation crates and farrowing crates
\nTorture chambers where
\nMothers are just forced into
\nVile cages of despair
\nThe un willingness to understand
\nAnother females pain
\nThe miracle phenomenon
\nOf birth and yet more strain<\/p>\n
The ingloriousness of torture
\nWhere The timing has to be
\nAn insult and a scandal
\nAnd notoriety<\/p>\n
The riff-raff they employ
\nNot the countrymen of old
\nNo humbleness to speak of
\nOn violence they are sold
\nCowardly and mean spirited
\nLow life bullies they
\nAre vulgar and abusive
\nThat is how they get their way<\/p>\n
This place and all its management
\nShould be carted to the cells
\nShut these bloody places down
\nAll these private hells
\nAround the country need to be
\nShut down and made to show
\nThe authorities that they care
