When our animals cross over
\nDo you know where they go
\nTo a sort of animal heaven
\nOr there is nothing to show
\nFor their own sweet incarnation
\nThey came to teach us, we
\nCan learn so very much from them
\nAnd we ought to be<\/p>\n
Thankful that they came to us
\nAnd so enriched our lives
\nWe are here for our own selves
\nTo enlighten for one strives
\nTo do this and the engagement
\nOf other species does
\nIncrease our true enlightenment
\nWith all the added buzz<\/p>\n
Summerland or the rainbow Bridge
\nUtopian places where
\nOur animals go when they pass on
\nAway from the despair
\nOf living and of dying
\nIn among the human kind
\nWho have their ego’s to contend with
\nAnd often remain blind<\/p>\n
To the animal beside them
\nWho has come to teach them they
\nCan improve their own enlightenment
\nAll along the way
\nIt’s has now been found possible to communicate
\nWith them
\nAfter they enter their special place
\nFrom where they once did stem<\/p>\n
They may have found pure happiness
\nor encountered awful stress
\nBut were here to touch the hearts of all
\nAnd somehow to redress
\nOne wonders how they managed
\nIn the tortures some had found
\nAll of us at animal rights
\nCover the very ground<\/p>\n
The cats and dogs in China
\nAnd the Far East where much shame
\nAnd torture and total disregard
\nSeems all part of their game
\nThe dolphins in Japan,
\nThe pilot whales as well
\nIn the Faroe. Islands
\nSlaughtered in the swell<\/p>\n
Almost all the animals that come here
\nFeel some pain
\nAnd leave the world frequented
\nBy a few less of the insane
\nFaith and good intention
\nBrings us closer to those who
\nPassed on to the afterlife
\nas those with souls all do<\/p>\n
Our animal friends are true friends
\nIf we let them, they
\nWill teach us and will mentor us
\nForever and a day<\/p>\n
