Cages of dogs
\nA melee a crush
\nBones smashed and broken
\nAn illegal rush
\nOf adrenaline surely
\nWhat is it about
\nSo that some can eat dog
\nAnd the rest of us doubt<\/p>\n
What kind of person would subscribe to this
\nEvil of treatments
\nTaken from bliss
\nof being a companion
\nTo so called man kind
\nAnd stolen and slaughtered
\nBy many who find<\/p>\n
The taste is exciting
\nTheir deaths though so cruel
\nWe allow this to happen
\nWe let them rule
\nOur lives with this evil
\nThis true dark despair
\nIt’s widespread
\nAnd its happening
\nYes over there<\/p>\n
Dogs bright eyed bushy tailed
\nDogs loyal and true
\nStolen from backyards
\nAnd off the street too
\nManhandled and tortured
\nThrown into cages on trucks
\nBy what can only be described as
\nReal fcuk’s!<\/p>\n
Paid just a pittance
\nTo round up these hounds
\nThey go out very early doing
\nThe rounds
\nLow life and heartless men
\nEarning a buck
\nAnd being so hurtful
\nSomehow they are stuck<\/p>\n
In a dark place too
\nTo work in this way
\nFor the corporate meat trade
\nThat has a big say
\nThese poor frightened animals
\nJourney can be
\nLong hard and evil
\nTheir adversity<\/p>\n
Made worse by man un kind
\nWho has no regard
\nThey are tossed high off heaps
\nTo bruise in the yard
\nThose on the bottom
\nWith be crushed some will die
\nBut all will be frightened
\nTheir anguish so high<\/p>\n
They are in a dungeon
\nAwaiting their fate
\nBeing treated like sacks of potatoes
\nTheir date
\nWith death and destruction
\nIs fast coming near
\nSome still have collars on
\nSo it is clear<\/p>\n
They have come from their loving homes
\nInto this hell
\nThey will be sat upon
\nThis they know well
\nSmarting from being so rattled about
\nAnd left really honestly now
\nIn no doubt<\/p>\n
Nobody loves them
\nNobody cares
\nTheir owners where are they
\nSaying their prayers
\nAsking Anubis the goddess to see
\nWhat stress and what pain
\nThey now face constantly<\/p>\n
Trucked to some market
\nIn heat that can kill
\nOn dusty pot holed roads
\nThat toss them and spill
\nGiven no water
\nGiven nothing
\nJust herded like slaves
\nTo a world that does bring<\/p>\n
Them further from empathy
\nThere is none here
\nWhere they are going
\nThere’s only fear
\nMalice repulsiveness
\nThere’s only pain
\nUgliness hideousness
\nAnd the insane<\/p>\n
Beaten and worn down
\nThey reach markets where
\nTraders and restaurants
\nIncrease the despair
\nCollect them for processing
\nSoon they will be
\nChopped up and eaten
\nFor posterity<\/p>\n
Some of these diners
\nBelieve trauma does
\nImprove the flavour
\nAnd give them a buzz
\nImprove their libido
\nMake them horny in bed
\nThis is the thinking
\nThis causes dread<\/p>\n
Some stars have come out and have
\nIntimated now why
\nThis vile trade is happening
\nUnder the sky
\nIn places where tourists go
\nAnd some they will try
\nSomeone’s pet dog
\nCooked with ginger

Tanked up on alcohol
\nThinking they are free
\nPaying through the nose
\nFor what is misery
\nThis is the trade
\nSo vulgar and wrong
\nHonestly people
\nIt doesn’t belong
\nIn this day and age
\nIt’s a hopeless event
\nCausing such consternation

Then the base kind
\nThe people who prepare
\nThese sweet souls
\nWho butcher them daily
\nWho share
\nWho take on their roles
\nAs vile executioners
\nSome on the street
\nWith blow lamps they scorch
\nThem it’s terror complete<\/p>\n
Watch as they writhe
\nTheir big doleful eyes
\nThat torture that terror
\nThat darkest surprise
\nOn the victim who is dying
\nFrom terrible pain
\nBlood oozing their losing
\nWe are the insane!<\/p>\n
We regularly go there
\nExchanging our cash
\nSupport what they are doing
\nWe are the rash
\nOf on lookers really
\nProviding the dough
\nSo these fiends can continue
\nTo slaughter and show<\/p>\n
Hung up on hooks
\nParts of dogs scalded white
\nThe smell is so dreadful
\nAnd all this in spite
\nOf saying that dogs
\nAre our best friends
\nBut here
\nThe desire is to eat them
\nAnd just spread more fear<\/p>\n
SoI dogs are people
\nWith hearts now ablaze
\nTrying to stop this
\nTerrible phase
\nOf human emotion
\nOf ignorance too
\nOf the arrogant rich
\nWho may be the few
\nBut who buy into this
\nThis torture and pain
\nAnd drive themselves
\nInto a tortured refrain<\/p>\n
It seems it’s contagious
\nIt’s all over the Place
\nThe loathing the rancour
\nIt fills every space
\nTo persecute animals now as we do
\nTo torture them rotten
\nYes madam You
\nBy looking away
\nBy refusing to see
\nWhat man kind is doing
\nNow honestly<\/p>\n
I urge you to listen
\nI urge you to see
\nAnimal earthlings don’t want this
\nTo be
\nHappening anywhere
\nAnd we can make
\nA difference by
\nNot sharing their pieces of cake<\/p>\n
