Every journey starts from somewhere
\nSome from miles away
\nThere will be some from much closer
\nIt’s happening everyday
\nStarting out in the planning stage
\nIts exciting through and through
\nAnd it takes a lot of motivation
\nReally just to do
\nThe demonstration may be
\nThe car journey, the train
\nThe picnic and the philosophy
\nAnd to receive disdain<\/p>\n
From holier than thou activists
\nCan turn a picture sour
\nAnd cancel out the commitment
\nWith perhaps some negative power
\nSome may drive a smart car
\nOr a hybrid let us say
\nSome may go in a big 3 litre
\nAll along the way<\/p>\n
And possibly some vegans
\nMay object to the style of lunch
\nMaybe they went to KFC
\nAnd from a bucket munch
\nIt all about just where they are
\nOn their road and how they planned
\nThey will get to their destination
\nAnd begin to understand<\/p>\n
There are many ways to get there
\nWith differing levels too
\nSuggest to people by all means
\nAnd gradually They may do
\nMore and more and they will learn
\nWill discern the way to be
\nBut if you are going dictate to them
\nYour terms then believe me<\/p>\n
You May scare them off
\nAnd thus will lose new blood for possibly, they
\nMay not come back not ever
\nHow can that be the way
\nInspire them by example
\nBe their tour de force
\nPerhaps gentle persuasion
\nAs a, matter of course<\/p>\n
But if you think it’s better
\nTo treat them with disdain
\nAnd ward them off forever
\nReally that is insane
\nBe friendly Be informative
\nHonour them and say
\nWelcome to the demo
\nIt’s great you found your way<\/p>\n
To join us, to embrace us
\nTo be activists in soul
\nLet them find their own two feet
\nLet them exert control
\nBut if you stop them in their tracks
\nAnd disgrace them in a way
\nAnd see them all as reprobates
\nBy what you do and say
\nTo get them just to stay the course
\nTo Come back to the fold
\nYou could have been more subtle
\nAnd more certainly cajoled<\/p>\n
All Journeys go from here to there
\nAnd All over the place
\nAnd gradually we protest
\nIn each other’s face
\nWe are the animal army
\nWe fight Their corner, we
\nCan only do it very purposefully
\nIf with them all we be<\/p>\n
Some may smoke and drink coffee
\nSome may even, wear fur
\nBut gradually they will see the light
\nAnd hopefully concur
\nAnd when that day,comes, our army
\nIs strengthened for we feel
\nAll of us have knowledge
\nAnd run our lives with zeal<\/p>\n
Let people choose their weapons
\nGain insight from us all
\nLet them begin the journey
\nAnd hear us when we call
\nDon’t Dictate to the people
\nFor all must find their place
\nAnd each of us has been there
\nAnd it’s something to embrace<\/p>\n
With each rung of the ladder
\nA higher view we see
\nA real coming together
\nIs how it has to be
\nSympathetic and well intentioned
\nHaving the friendliest feelings for
\nEach other one big family
