Out there in the forest
\nFreedom spirited there
\nThe liberty of logic
\nKind of everywhere
\nUnhindered and unobstructed
\nGrazing naturally
\nTasting all the sweetness
\nOf the grasses also free<\/p>\n
And there we have the master
\nThe young man with his gun
\nOut there on an expedition
\nTo have his share of fun
\nSees the deer a feeding
\nDecides this is his day
\nHe is going to kill that brute
\nAnd send it on it’s way<\/p>\n
The rainbow bridge is beckoning
\nA first kill seems to be
\nWhat this young man needs right now
\nIt’s his destiny
\nJust to say he killed something
\nPut and end to its life
\nTook it from its day of reckoning
\nInto it’s day of strife<\/p>\n
The boy hunter stood his ground and fired
\nAnd it slammed into the deer
\nBlood spurting every which way
\nIt was very clear
\nThis deer would not now feel no more
\nIt’s life was blown away
\nIt’s ability for happiness
\nHad become its decay<\/p>\n
The boy had heard of the social ritual
\nBlood smearing and applied
\nThe victims blood upon his Cheek
\nWhy should he be denied
\nThe history and the culture
\nFrom the English Foxes who
\nGot the very treatment
\nback when
\nIt all was true<\/p>\n
To have killed a fox was tragic
\nTo pay respects a thought
\nSmear it’s blood over your cheeks
\nAnd don’t feel overwrought
\nIf you respect an animal
\nIn time they do respect you
\nBlood smearing might feel endearing
