With the imminent flavour and change of law
\nOne felt the desperation there
\nMarching together from Leicester Square
\nIn essence trying to ignore<\/p>\n
The over riding sense and strain
\nThe countermanding clueless thought
\nThe right of protest we all sought
\nAnd were our efforts now in vain?<\/p>\n
A meandering pace but our energy
\nMade up of motley hearts and minds
\nA togetherness along the lines
\nOf what just felt like synergy<\/p>\n
A sky of blue hung overhead
\nThe impetus for all to see
\nIt’s where our friends were born to be
\nThat message in our head<\/p>\n
Snaking this way snaking that
\nThrough the crowded streets we went
\nEmpty the tanks our message sent
\nSea world sucks! Was where we were at<\/p>\n
Waving placards such a throng
\nYou felt the togetherness yes throughout
\nIt’s significance without a doubt
\nAnd that fellowship felt all along<\/p>\n
Just brothers and sisters our fondness came
\nThe streets of London packed they were
\nOur megaphones took up our call
\nEveryone of us standing tall
\nYes that’s what did occur<\/p>\n
Slowly we passed Downing Street
\nLifted our voices took the stage
\nPolice with machine guns off the page
\nThey weren’t bobbies on the beat<\/p>\n
PC49 was gone probably never to reappear
\nPassed the cenotaph the fear
\nOf the women lost it did unseat
\nIn me a feeling of tragedy<\/p>\n
What had we learned from all these years
\nAll that historic stress and tears
\nLike an unforgettable parod
\nA mournful doleful wet eyed mood
\nThe sweet cetaceans stripped of life
\nTorn from the wild to face our strife
\nYes collectively we did allude<\/p>\n
To the lost souls we did threnodize
\nStolen from pods and sold abroad
\nFrightened and lost they could not afford
\nThe agony and the dark demise<\/p>\n
It was the fuel that drew our power
\nInto that conflict thus we went
\nShedding our tears from heaven sent
\nKnowing the strength came with the hour<\/p>\n
The sun was seemingly above
\nSending it’s warmth to comfort and
\nThe jubilation to understand
\nOur togetherness brought eternal love<\/p>\n
A carousel of dresses and boots
\nOf attractiveness and sublimity
\nEvery cetacean must be free
\nOf the ugly corporate at their roots<\/p>\n
Westminster Station was in sight
\nBig Ben we clocked him so serene
\nNext to Parliament where he had been
\nProviding the time apparently right<\/p>\n
We all converged around that place
\nTo hear the speakers one by one
\nTo rest a while for we had done
\nOur best to put the cetacean case<\/p>\n
To Londoners and tourists alike
\nTo people in the London squares
\nGetting on with their own affairs
\nThe cabs the buses those on their bike<\/p>\n
Threading through traffic all could hear
\nOur message it rose and just seemed to clear
\nAnd everyone just seemed to like<\/p>\n
The thrill the pent up energy
\nWildness was the only way
\nThats what we all felt today
\nNever vile captivity<\/p>\n
Even two coppers in Trafalgar Square
\nSeem to agree their faces bore
\nAnd Others,they did not ignore
\nOur wisdom just to share<\/p>\n
The plight of the pods out in the sea
\nHappily plying their daily lives
\nCaptured by corporate men with knives
\nThis is never reality<\/p>\n
All of the souls in the march were giving
\nActivist angels one has to say
\nTarring them as terrorists no no way
\nThey are about the living<\/p>\n
The voiceless ocean goddesses who
\nMake our hearts and minds so glow
\nThey are there to really show
\nAll of us now just what to do<\/p>\n
Not to allow the corporate stealth
\nTo denigrate our natural wealth
\nEmpty the tanks Sea world sucks
\nThis is their plea to all of you<\/p>\n
