Those of us watching the rodeo
\nFeeling the pain that we see
\nRoping and riding
\nProdding and hiding
\nAnd really pretending to be<\/p>\n
A coward boy
\nA coward girl
\nThe money
\nthe big bucks
\nThe wagers we make
\nRiding them bulls
\nAnd feeling the pulls
\nAnd having our share of the cake<\/p>\n
Seeing those calves pulled a’sunder
\nTheir feet torn away as they ran
\nWatching these ropes take away all their hopes
\nUp the slopes yes to where it began<\/p>\n
It’s blatantly cruel to the next man
\nS.h.a.r.k campaigns widely of course
\nAnd rightly so they are all in the flow
\nHoping to protect the horse
\nThe Bull and the animals all of the animals
\nAnd draw the women in to
\nFor basically women have maternal instincts
\nMuch more so than most Men now do<\/p>\n
Vegan men yea they are coming on board
\nRaising their sensitive sides
\nRodeo really is intrinsically
\nEntertainment where in satan hides
\nIt’s bitterly cruel and so so unfair
\nAn ethos of terror and pain
\nIt’s the self serving masculine creatures
\nThe misogynist cynic insane<\/p>\n
This is no sport and no pastime
\nAnd though women sometimes agree
\nTo be part of the excess and squalor
\nIts hardly femininity
\nThe women who tag on and try it
\nAnd Go out of their way to be seen
\nGain that hardness of heart
\nWhich sets them apart
\nFrom the ladies they might just have been<\/p>\n
For me it’s big step away from their roots
\nOut of context and truthfully they
\nWould be far better off to acknowledge this fact
\nAnd respect living things I would say<\/p>\n
Stand by the side of the animal earthlings
\nLet tenderness overflow
\nActing with hatred and odious sense
\nIs a negative trait that can grow<\/p>\n
But it doesn’t make for a much better world
\nAnd humanity feels this is true
\nThe sweet obligation of building a family
\nIs really what couples can do<\/p>\n
Can there be some exoneration
\nA pardon let’s say that will be
\nUnavenged and unpunished within how we are
\nFair minded unbiased and free<\/p>\n
The rodeo stands for inglorious methods
\nOf showing off skills we have learned
\nBut those youthful coward boys
\nWho travel from city to city
\nSo often feel spurned<\/p>\n
They never stop travelling
\nRolling along on the wind thats the life
\nThat they choose
\nThey are beholden to no one and nothing
\nWhat really have they to lose<\/p>\n
The family the respect and the children
\nTheir roots they apply to somewhere
\nResponsible citizens, that is debatable
\nWhen they create such despair<\/p>\n
Rodeo I think is a thing of the past
\nIt’s a cruel and unfortunate way
\nOf showing off skills that give folk the chills
\nAnd make the innocent pay<\/p>\n
There now isn’t need to make young calves bleed
\nTo break in wild horses and fly
\nThe various places with significant cases
\nOf improbity which now does lie<\/p>\n
Very heavily onto our conscience
\nEgo centrism seemingly,won
\nEach man for himself it’s about number one
