If We considered
\nthe oppression of animals
\nWe would find it hard to be
\nanything but VEGAN
\nFor all this
\nsavagery
\nThese are purely friendly ,
\ncaring creatures
\nthey understand completely
\nwhat we do
\nwe treat them as commodities
\ncogs in our great wheel
\nand as such their short
\nlives and deaths we then try to conceal<\/p>\n
The slaughterhouse, or Death Camp
\nis obnoxious,leading to this place
\nof ill repute
\nis a journey from the farm
\nwherever that was
\nto the slaughterhouse by truck
\na circuitous route
\npacked together many sick and dying
\nknowing that the ultimate was near
\nthey were clearly going
\nto be slaughtered
\nthe cries of others sounded
\nin their ear
\nConsider that oppression
\nfew consumers care about
\nwhat they,
\ntruthfully are going through
\nall they want is prime cuts for their
\ntable, everyday.
\nso the animals suffer life gets tougher
\nthan its ever been before
\nthe poor creatures are strung up
\nthroats slit its Halal
\nits with us almost everywhere
\nThese ritual killings rule
\nNo there is no lull in murder
\nand cruelty for all<\/p>\n
But many don’t die quickly
\nmore torture, and more pain
\nstrung up on the gantry and moved
\nwith some vile chain
\ntheir knuckles crudely hacked off
\nhanging by one leg
\nwords fail me here
\nto understand the savagery and
\nsqualor and the fear
\nthe cries, the bleats
\nthe evil
\nthe slaughter men now paid
\nto carry out this distasteful work
\nin conditions in a trade
\nthats cold and now unequalled
\nfor vile intensity
\nit really is a lot to ask
\nof people’s sanity
\nthe agony and fear
\nits all around them
\nblood that pours from severed
\nthroats, the cries
\nspluttering and muttering
\nin the death throes stuttering
\nas thousands of cow and pigs so
\nrealise
\nDeath is coming in the form
\nof torture, more pain
\nwhich has been, their very life
\nOn Death row for the crimes
\nof other carnivores
\nand sadly soon to perish
\nby the knife
\nBut some may die much later
\nin the scalding tanks
\ndrowned in their own
\njuices, cooked in fact
\nI cannot begin to realise
\nwhat this must do to souls
\nand how in their last moments
\nthey react
\nCompassion clearly
\nthey accept has disappeared
\nthe human carnivore
\nhas none of that
\nbesieged by beastly torture
\nand mass murder of a species
\nThey must close their eyes
