The monkey takes it’s beating

\nClinging for the life of it

Captured in a quandary
\nDispossessed of course
\nEvicted from some travelling pack

The soul urge
\nIt was necessary
\nFor to be cut down in her prime
\nTo exact the energy wanted

The irksomeness of capture
\nThe tediousness and pain
\nThe unamusing struggle
\nA wet blanket of a brain<\/p>\n
Held fast and unrelenting
\nBlubbering all the way
\nHeld there on a chain poor thing
\nAnd being made to pay<\/p>\n
What is that trainer thinking about
\nThe hideosity
\nIt’s repellant and it’s odious
\nThat somehow she can’t see<\/p>\n
To Let it have it’s freedom
