In our world of ocean magic
\nWhere our orchestra must play
\nA great force of stimulation
\nStrengthens us each day
\nThe tone the pitch the cadence
\nThe stillness of the deep
\nThe resonant vibrations
\nululating in our sleep<\/p>\n
We fail the oceans sentinels
\nFor underneath the ice
\nIn thousands of miles
\nOf darkness
\nIn fact their paradise
\nThey communicate precisely
\nHarmoniously they swing
\nIn rhythms so melodic
\nSo tunefully they bring
\nA passion to each other
\nA cacophonous display
\nIf not to our human sense
\nTo An underling lets say<\/p>\n
Whales ply through the oceans
\nGreat depths demand great power
\nThey may not see their own sweet tail
\nBut through great kelp jungles, plough
\nThey send their eerie haunting voices
\nMany many miles
\nTheir mind resolves the soundness
\nOf perhaps a million dials<\/p>\n
The human sound is wanting
\nIt’s instability
\nIt alienates cetaceans
\nTo mental deficiency
\nIt’s seemingly hysteria
\nShell shock of a kind
\nThat blinds them with emotion
\nWhich so rattles their mind<\/p>\n
Within the auditorium
\nThe acoustic heart we feel
\nAs regards true reception
\nCan it still be real
\nThe vast amount of stridulous smog
\nEmanating from
\nThe great sea of the city
\nExploding like a bomb<\/p>\n
Each melody of conscience
\nIs a tuneless off pitch sound
\nPerhaps an intoxication
\nIn the excitement that’s around
\nWithin each navigation
\nWe intensify each note
\nInvigorate and penetrate
\nThrough every human throat<\/p>\n
The joyfulness and pleasure
\nThe trauma of it all
\nThose blessed days of silence
\nThe adversity on call
\nSuch wretchedness and misery
\nSuch unease and such remorse
\nThe lethargy of gliding
\nIn what is the upward force<\/p>\n
Listen to their voices
\nListen to their joy
\nWe now reduce their acoustic space
\nAnd, therefore annoy
\nThe heart out of these creatures
\nIn an ever deeper place
\nWe create the pollution
\nIt is something they must face<\/p>\n
Our ignorant rejection
\nOf our terrible affliction
\nThat takes their truest world apart
\nAltering their diction
\nLeaving them crestfallen
\nSolemn and sedate
\nUninvited and depressing
\nWhich is open to debate<\/p>\n
A serious lamentation
\nA vast Great Wall of woe
\nA dawning in their mourning
\nWherever they may go
\nThe indifference of thereafter
\nEach treadmill of each day
\nThe dreariness and the drabness
\nThat will not go away<\/p>\n
We destroy now by our anger
\nBy our ignorance
\nThat we do
\nCreating a smog of ugliness
\nAnd a fear that cuts right through
\nA matrix of uncertainty
\nA desperation to
\na sonic power of seeing
\nBecomes unseeing
