How many times have we heard humans say
\nAnimals don’t feel a loss no way
\nThey don’t have feelings
\nThey don’t have a soul
\nIt’s strangely naive
\nWhy some don’t believe<\/p>\n
Look at this infant
\nIt’s mother lies dead
\nSpark out on the ground
\nAnd we are led
\nTo realise straight a way
\nThat baby cares
\nFor it’s mother lying there
\nSaying it’s prayers<\/p>\n
Clearly it’s woeful
\nThat we must say.
\nIt’s clutching it’s dead mother
\nGrieving away<\/p>\n
Sorrow and sadness
\nHopelessness too
\nThey have opened a grave
\nAnd the little soul true<\/p>\n
To life lies accompanying
\nHer
\nmother for she
\nIs dead to the world
\nThat much we can see<\/p>\n
But this sweet little monkey
\nJust wants to be there
\nWants to die with her
\nYou can feel, it’s despair<\/p>\n
It’s burden it’s willing to sacrifice
\nNow
\nIt’s showing compassion
\nWe all can see how<\/p>\n
Despite being filled in
\nStill the baby holds
\nIt’s mother it will Not let go
\nIn the folds<\/p>\n
It’s clearly unhappy
\nDowntrodden and sad
\nIt would rather die with her
\nNo matter how bad<\/p>\n
Heart broken so soulful
\nLying beside
\nClearly remorseful
\nIt can’t be denied<\/p>\n
Protesting by being
\nAll seeing with fear
\nWounded and wild eyed
\nWe so feel it’s so clear<\/p>\n
Those who would say
\nThat they have no soul
\nThat they have no feeling
\nKnow not of the role<\/p>\n
That animals play
\nIn each other’s life
\nWhat bliss really they
\nTake on and the strife<\/p>\n
Of losing ones mother
\nIs abundantly clear
\nThey would stay with their mother
\nAnd die too sweet dear<\/p>\n
Clutching her loving her
\nFeeling her she
\nCannot go away
\nAnd leave them to be<\/p>\n
Alone in this dark world
\nWhere humans believe
\nThat they are all soulless
