\nThey come from toxic sewer ponds
\nManaged by the poor<\/p>\n
Farmers who get little money
\nFor, all that they do
\nAnd so it’s vile and horrible
\nAnd sadly this is true<\/p>\n
Not farmed in pristine waters
\nBut noxious infested muck
\nPestilential and germ laden
\nSo You have run out of luck<\/p>\n
These shrimps are bred in water
\nThat’s so filthy and so bad
\nA total lack of hygiene
\nWhich for the shrimps is sad<\/p>\n
The people are infectious
\nAnd these vectors carry much
\nPurulent and pussy
\nWe are out of touch<\/p>\n
With what all this is doing
\nTo keep the waters clear
\nThey load them up with antibiotics
\nAnd anti fungals,
\nfear
\nyou should be bloody fearful
\nFor infections when they come
\nWhen you are given antibiotics
\nThey will not work now for some<\/p>\n
This is what you risk when buying
\nCheap shrimps and cheap fish
\nFarmed in filthy stinking ponds
\nNot something I relish<\/p>\n
90 per cent of shrimps these days
\nAre farmed like this oh dear
\nWe are basically killing ourselves
\nSo it would appear<\/p>\n
And why would we be so stupid
\nIgnorance of course
\nWe seem to think if it’s out there
\nWe can eat it with some sauce
\nBut we don’t want to pay for it
\nWe want it good and cheap
\nWell now the rooster is coming home
\nAnd it may make you weep<\/p>\n
Through selfishness and ignorance
\nOur unfairness to those who
\nFar away are working to get the food to you
\nThey only earn a pittance
\nSo we can buy it cheap
\nBut with it comes disease and worse
